Deep Night With Dale Seever Comes to The Slipper Room

Now in its tenth year, this satirical live talk show is hosted by James Bewley in the guise of his garrulous alter ego, the turtleneck-wearing, essential-oils-peddling, wannabe-wellness-guru, Dale Seever. Each hour-long show is an opportunity for Dale to subject a panel of talented guests to his unique line of questioning. On this special Season 11 Finale episode of Deep Night, Dale welcomes actor Griffin Newman (The Tick), comedian Emmy Blotnick (Late Show with Stephen Colbert), actor Lindsey Broad (In The Dark) along with rapper and performer Sammus (The New Negroes) to talk about comedy, crystals, nerding out, and more. With music on the theremin by Cornelius Loy and dance from 96B Dance Theatre.

GLAAD, the world's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) media advocacy organization, announced today that actor and performer Shangela will host the 30th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York, while CNN news anchor Anderson Cooper will present the Advocate For Change Award to previously announced honoree Madonna, on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the New York Hilton Midtown. Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actress Rachel Brosnahan (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”), model and activist Winnie Harlow, multiple Emmy and GLAAD Media Award-winning director and producer Ryan Murphy (“Pose”) will join previously announced special guests Samantha Bee (“Full Frontal”), CNN's Don Lemon, and the cast of FX's “Pose,” including 2017 GLAAD honoree Billy Porter. GLAAD previously announced that Sarah Jessica Parker will present the Vito Russo Award to Andy Cohen.

The Hylton Performing Arts Center Announces 2019-2020 Season

Hylton Performing Arts Center announced today its 2019-2020 season of mainstage performances, featuring a diverse lineup of artists and ensembles across genres, as part of Hylton Presents, Hylton Family Series, Matinee Idylls, and the American Roots Series. The Hylton Center also announced the first Hylton Center EXTRA! for the season: the husband and wife duo and banjo icons, B la Fleck and Abigail Washburn, in a special concert event featuring their unique blend of alternative bluegrass. Season subscriptions are on sale to Friends of the Hylton Center at HyltonCenter.org/preview or by phone at 703-993-7700. RATINGS: NBC Holds Off CBS in Wednesday Night's Demo Race

NBC (5.335 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #1) inched past the demo competition on Tuesday with its mix of 'The Voice' (7.197 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #1), 'The Village' (4.177 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T3) and 'New Amsterdam' (4.631 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T3).

Showtime to Premiere Season Two of OUR CARTOON PRESIDENT on May 12

SHOWTIME will premiere the second season of its animated comedy series OUR CARTOON PRESIDENT on Sunday, May 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and will feature an animated appearance from Queer Eye's Jonathan Van Ness. Additionally, SHOWTIME has released the official key art and trailer for season two, which will consist of 10 half-hour episodes.

Violet Young Teams Up With Nashville Recording Artist Jadyn Rylee For New Music Video!

Jadyn Rylee, age 13, travelled to NYC to record the title track to The Promise: A Docuseries on Childhood Cancer and collaborated with Violet Young on a cover of the song  Symphony by Clean Bandit and Zara Larrson.   Both videos were Produced by Risk It Productions, LLC, Directed by Kristi Gatto and Brendan Grant as The Director of Photography. The video was filmed in Contra Studios and recorded at Groove Garden.
