The award-winning new musical King Kong will play its final Broadway performance on August 18, 2019 following 324 performances and 29 previews at the Broadway Theatre.

“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” has won the late-night ratings week of June 17-21 in adults 18-49 over “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” according to “live plus same day” figures from Nielsen Media Research. Note that Friday's “Tonight” and “Kimmel” were encores. 

Today, the Newseum unveiled its newest exhibit, 'Seriously Funny: From the Desk of 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.'' This furiously funny exhibit explores the impact Comedy Central's 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart' had on American politics and the press through four presidential campaigns, two wars and the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. More than 50 artifacts will be on display, highlighting the power of political satire — a form of free speech protected under the First Amendment — and comedy's influence on the news. The exhibit also features an original Newseum-produced film that goes behind the scenes at 'The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.'

The Television Critics Association (TCA) announces the nominees for the organization's 35TH Annual TCA Awards. Comedy duo Desus & Mero, stars of the TCA-nominated Showtime series of the same name, will host. The 2019 TCA Awards, a celebration of all things television, honors the best series, creators, and stars of the 2018-2019 season. More than 220 professional television critics and journalists from the United States and Canada voted.

During the week of June 10, 2019, ABC's “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” ranked as the No. 1 late-night talk show for the 3rd week in a row among Adults 18-49 (650,000), dominating NBC's “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” by 26% (517,000) and CBS' “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” by 63% (399,000).
