Xanadu follows the journey of a magical and beautiful Greek muse, Kira, who descends from the heavens of Mount Olympus to Venice Beach, California in 1980 on a quest to inspire a struggling artist.

Next up at the Pasadena Playhouse, the Tony Award-winning musical La Cage Aux Folles opening November 17, 2024 (with previews beginning November 12th). Sam Pinkleton directs the cast headlined by Cheyenne Jackson and Kevin Cahoon as Georges and Albin with Ryan J. Haddad, Shannon Purser, George Salazar, Michael McDonald, Nicole Parker, El Beh, and Shea Diamond.

Max von Essen will perform with The New York Pops at Carnegie Hall on November 15, 2024. The concert will feature a selection of Broadway hits and classic tunes, showcasing von Essen's vocal talents.

I mean, my influences growing up? I went through a phase of everything was jazz! And it had to be old-school jazz! When I was about twelve or thirteen, I went to a yard sale. I found this CD. It was actually a tape. Billie Holiday, Lena Horn, Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald. I'd never heard of any of them, and I just poured over it and studied the nuances of their voices.

Based on the fan-favorite film starring Olivia Newton-John, this energetic production will transport you to the vibrant era of the 1980s, where roller skates, shoulder pads, legwarmers, and big  hair ruled the day.

Vanguard University's highly acclaimed and award-winning department of theatre arts presents the stage adaptation of the 1980s rollicking, roller skating musical Xanadu. The production is presented in the Lyceum Theater on the Vanguard University campus, beginning October 20, 2023, and running three weekends through November 5, 2023.

Cortland Repertory Theatre takes a time trip back to 1980 with their second production in the 51st annual summer season as they present the pop musical “Xanadu”, running from June 21 - 30.
