From January 22-30, Theater for the New City will present the New Yiddish Rep's production of 'Di Froyen' (The Women), based on the play 'Women's Minyan' by Naomi Ragen, adapted for the Yiddish Rep by Melissa Weisz and Malky Goldman. Director is Rachel Botchan.

Indecent by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel is inspired by the true events surrounding the controversial 1923 Broadway debut of Sholem Asch’s God of Vengeance. Vogel’s Indecent charts the history of a contentious drama and the artists who risked their lives and careers to perform it.

Following a successful run of A.R. Gurney's romantic comedy, Sylvia, Indecent, by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel, will open on November 12 at 7:30 p.m. at Kean's University's Wilkins Theatre. Directed by Holly Logue, the Tony Award-nominated Indecent will run through November 20, 2021.

On this day in 2016, Paula Vogel's acclaimed play Indecent opened at Off-Broadway's Vineyard Theatre, in an acclaimed production directed by Tony Award-winner Rebecca Taichman. The production moved to Broadway the following year.

One week after Ash Wednesday, the Congress for Jewish Culture has posted its special celebration of writer Sholem Asch with their online event titled ASCH WEDNESDAY. Sholem Asch is best known for his play GOD OF VENGEANCE, which he wrote in 1906 and was published in English-language translation in 1918.

Finbar Lynch has enjoyed an extensive acting career, spanning stage, film and television. His theatre work includes Girl From the North Country (Noel Coward Theatre, Gielgud Theatre and Toronto) Translations (Donmar Warehouse), Richard III (Almeida Theatre), Antony and Cleopatra (National Theatre), and Antigone (Barbican and world tour). In 1999, he was nominated for both Tony and Drama Desk awards for his performance as Canary Jim in Tennessee Williams' Not About Nightingales.
