NBC's groundbreaking songwriting series 'Songland' will return for a second season on Monday, April 13 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The series features a panel of the most sought-after songwriter/producers in music - Ester Dean, Shane McAnally and Ryan Tedder. Each week a superstar guest recording artist will come to 'Songland' in search of their next hit song. Kaleb Lee has built a great relationship with superstar Kelly Clarkson and today their collaboration on “I Dream In Southern” is available. The tune, written by award winning songwriters Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne and Brandy Clark, is an ode to all things southern including “blue jeans, back porches, cotton fields, mason jars, fireflies” and countless other things. Clarkson sent the song to Lee after he finished in the Top 6 on Team Kelly on Season 14 of The Voice. He joined the superstar at her Meaning of Life tour earlier this year in Duluth, GA where he performed the tune. Clarkson loved it so much she lent her vocals to the track.

The Country Music Association has selected rising Country artists Angie K, Everette and Kylie Morgan as recipients of the second annual CMA KixStart Artist Scholarship. Throughout the year-long program, which officially launches Tuesday, Oct. 1, CMA will mentor the artists, connect them with top industry professionals, as well as provide them opportunities to participate in CMA-related events during CMA Awards, CMA Fest, international events and CMA Foundation programs. In addition to participating in these events, each KixStart artist will receive a stipend to assist with various facets of their developing career.

Twelve6 Entertainment today announced a multi-faceted partnership with Downtown Music Publishing in a publishing administration deal and the creation of a new joint venture. As a result of this agreement, Downtown will provide its bespoke creative and administration services globally to Nashville-based Twelve6's growing roster of prominent songwriters and artists, including Old Dominion's Trevor Rosen and Jerry Flowers. Additionally, a new joint venture between the two companies will focus on identifying and signing talent. Monument Records recording artist and songwriter Alex Hall is the first signing under this new partnership.
