After two and a half years without Broadway's biggest night, the Tony Awards are back. This year's presentation will honor the outstanding shows, performances and artistry of the 2019-2020 Broadway season, which was brought to a halt by the COVID-19 pandemic. Heidi Blickenstaff will temporarily take over the role of Mary Jane Healy while Elizabeth Stanley is on maternity leave. Stanley is expected to return to the role, which she originated, on a limited schedule beginning in November. She will then share the role with Blickenstaff.

Of course, all the nominees deserve awards, but only one can win in each.

Producers Vivek J. Tiwary, Arvind Ethan David and Eva Price have announced that the 15-time Tony Award-nominated and Grammy Award-winning Broadway musical Jagged Little Pill will reopen on Broadway on Thursday, October 21, 2021, ending a nineteen-month suspension of performances due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Portrait of a Heart received an informal reading through Artists in Residence of Toronto in January, and another virtual reading just last week. The latest reading featured Sean Allan Krill (Jagged Little Pill), Nadia Bowers, Taylor Rose Mickens, Danny Gardner, Jete Laurence, John Allyn.
