WhatsOnStage today announced that Jodie Prenger and Tom Read Wilson will host the 22nd Annual WhatsOnStage Awards. They are joined by presenters Chris Bush, Graziano Di Prima, Omari Douglas, James Graham, David Harewood, Frances Mayli McCann, Stephanie McKeon, Drew McOnie, Daniel Monks, Tracy Ann Oberman, Johannes Radebe, and more.

Disney Theatrical Productions today announces that the critically acclaimed production of Frozen is extending until October 2022 due to public demand. The production opened at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in August last year, and has been playing to capacity houses since.

Frozen star, Samantha Barks, recently released her latest album, Into the Unknown, under new record label, Westway. The album features selections from a number of contemporary musicals, including Six, Dear Evan Hansen, Jagged Little Pill, Ghost, Mean Girls, Moana, The Greatest Showman, and more.

The West End production of Frozen has cancelled performances 22-24 December due to COVID-19. According to a statement posted to the production's social media accounts, the cancellations are due to 'Covid-enforced absences without our cast and crew.'

Kicking off the month on January 1st is the 1945 musical comedy film Ziegfeld Follies, featuring Fred Astaire, Lucille Ball, Gene Kelly, Judy Garland, Fanny Brice, Lena Horne and more. The How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying film, based on the musical of the same name, is set to debut on January 4th.
