Music Theatre of Connecticut will open its 39th season with Jonathan Larson’s Rent, running September 26–October 12, 2025. Directed by Chris McNiff, the production stars Jacob Heimer, Joe Tolentino, Cedric Leiba Jr., LaDonna Burns, and Gabriela Gomez.

An autobiographical musical, Hide and Seek tells the story of Andrew, a high school student who realizes that he is gay. As he comes to terms with his newfound sexuality, he finds himself struggling to navigate his way through his relationship with friends, a former girlfriend, his new boyfriend, and his family. As he attempts to find his true self, Andrew learns more about living life authentically. Written by Danny Feldman at the age of sixteen, the evening will feature orchestrations by Eli Schildkraut and will be music directed by Luke Williams.
