Westchester Broadway Theatre has announced its Saturday evening 'Gold Star' events. Details below!

Acclaimed writer/performer Candice Guardino premieres the outrageous Italian Bred Off-Broadway. With this 80 minute one-woman show, Candice slips in and out of characters as she cooks up a full meal of growing up Italian on Staten Island. Her acting and comedic skills come from her mother, but she owes her music and Latin heritage to her father. AN AFTERNOON WITH LUCIE ARNAZ pays tribute to the late Cuban band leader and features a majority of the songs from her 2010 cd "Latin Roots."

Giselle Wolf Journeys: A Celebration has been invited back for a Special Return Engagement at the Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street, NYC for the New Year. The additional performances are: tonight, January 17th & Friday, January 18th as well as Sunday, February 3rd and Monday, February 4th, 2013 at 9:30 pm. The musical direction and arrangements for the trio are by Ron Abel, and it is directed and developed with Karen Ludwig.

Mandy Gonzalez has joined the cast of Rockwell: Life on a Palette, a new musical based on Norman Rockwell's covers for the Saturday Evening Post, which will receive staged readings in New York City today, January 10 and the 11th, 2013. With book and lyrics by Eleanor Albano and Anthony Barnao, and music by Ron Abel, this reading of Rockwell will be directed by Glenn Casale.

In addition to her New Year's Eve performances at the Metropolitan Room on December 31, Marilyn Maye kept the party going with five unprecedented, by-request shows during the first week of the year. "Marilyn By Request," in which Maye and her Billy Stritch-led band will create a new show based on audience requests, marks her return to her downtown stomping ground.
