ABTKids Workshop Series, one-hour activity-based programs to introduce children to the ballet, will present a Romeo & Juliet Pre-Performance Workshop, suited for ages 10-16, today, June 15 at 11:00 AM and a Sylvia Pre-Performance Workshop, for children ages 6-12, on Saturday, June 29 at 11:00 AM in the rehearsal studios at the Metropolitan Opera House.

California Shakespeare Theater continues its 2013 season with a theatrically inventive production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, directed byShana Cooper (2011's Taming of the Shrew) playing at the Bruns Amphitheater July 3-28.

Houston Symphony to Perform ROMEO & JULIET OVERTURE at Miller Outdoor Theatre, 6/28

On June 28, the Houston Symphony will perform a free concert as part of the ExxonMobil Summer Symphony Nights series at Miller Outdoor Theatre. The concert will feature the famous Romeo and Juliet Overture by Tchaikovsky, followed by popular works from Mendelssohn and Schumann. Led by American conductor Case Scaglione, the concert will also feature pianist Kuok-Wai Lio. Born in Macau, Kuok-Wai has gained worldwide recognition performing with various orchestras and for multiple festivals and competitions. Kuok-Wai will be making his Houston debut performing Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto in G Minor.

Suffolk County Community College is pleased to announce that The Long Island Shakespeare Festival will offer free public performances of an abridged version of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet during summer 2013. The 13th season performances will be presented, rain or shine, at Suffolk County Community College's Ammerman Campus in Selden. The performances are free to the public and are funded by the Suffolk Community College Association - Ammerman Campus.

The Great Gatsby, the companion album to the Baz Luhrmann-directed movie of the same name, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart this week, selling 136,840 copies and becoming the best-selling movie soundtrack since The Hunger Games. This is the third soundtrack from a Baz Luhrmann film to reach the top three, following William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet and Moulin Rouge!
