Deadline reports that Haley Bennett, Jason Clarke and Riley Keough have joined The Devil All the Time, an Antonio Campos-directed drama at Netflix. Tom Holland, Mia Wasakowska, Robert Pattinson, Bill Skarsgard, Eliza Scanlen and Sebastian Stan have been previously announced as members of the cast.

From Friday, March 29 through Tuesday, April 9, BAM presents Strange Desire: The Films of Claire Denis, the most extensive retrospective ever presented in the US dedicated to Denis, a filmmaker consistently counted among the greatest living directors by filmmakers and critics alike. Denis' work is a delicate balance of contradictions: her films are beloved, yet elusive; influential, yet singular; grounded in corporeality, but with a shifting relationship with time. Born in France, raised in colonial Africa where her father was a civil servant, and eventually returning to France as a teenager, Denis subtly explores race and colonial relationships, love and eroticism, the texture of bodies and environments, and the elasticity of time. Following the retrospective, BAM will screen Denis' critically acclaimed new feature, the poetic science fiction film High Life (2019), starring Robert Pattinson, Juliette Binoche, Mia Goth, and Andre Benjamin. Denis will appear in person at BAM for a sneak preview show on April 3. The film opens in New York and Los Angeles on April 5.

Sebastian Stan is set to replace Chris Evans in the Netflix backwoods drama “The Devil All the Time,” according to Variety. Evans had to drop out of the starring role due to scheduling conflicts.

Bill Skarsgard and Eliza Scanlen have joined the case of Antonio Campos' adaptation of “The Devil All the Time.” 

Production wrapped today in Rome on one of the most buzzed about films of the year -  the feature adaptation of J.M. Coetzee's prize-winning novel “Waiting for the Barbarians”, directed by Ciro Guerra, produced by Andrea Iervolino, Monika Bacardi, and starring multiple Academy Award® nominee Johnny Depp (“Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise), Academy Award® winner Mark Rylance (“Bridge of Spies,” “Dunkirk,” “Ready Player One”) and Robert Pattinson (“The Twilight Saga”, “Good Time,” “The Lost City of Z”).

Johnny Depp and producer Andrea Iervolino will come together to develop and produce film and digital content, starting with drama “Waiting for the Barbarians,” according to Variety.

The ninth annual amfAR Gala Los Angeles returns this year on October 18, 2018, for what promises to be another unforgettable and spectacular evening. The black-tie event will feature a cocktail reception, dinner, live auction, and special performances.

Werner Herzog To Direct Fordlandia TV Series for Hyde Park

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Robert Pattinson, Sean Harris, Ben Mendelsohn and Lily-Rose Depp have joined Timothee Chalamet and Joel Edgerton in Netflix's upcoming period drama, The King. Sean Harris and Lily-Rose Depp will also co-star in David Michod's Netflix drama.

The Geffen Playhouse today announced the full cast for its Los Angeles Premiere production of Skeleton Crew, the third and final installment in Dominique Morisseau's award-winning three-play cycle, The Detroit Project. The play features Amari Cheatom (Roman J. Israel, Esq.) as Dez, Caroline Stefanie Clay (Broadway's The Little Foxes) as Faye, Kelly McCreary (Grey's Anatomy) as Shanita and D.B. Woodside (Lucifer) as Reggie. Patricia McGregor will direct.

The 11th Annual Las Vegas Film Festival, partnered with CineVegas,announced this morning the initial programming lineup for the 2018 Festival, to be held at Brenden Theatres and Palms Casino Resort June 6 – 10. The lineup includes a mix of feature films and documentaries that have been favorites on the international festival circuit, as well as new additions to this year's Festival - live discussions and live comedy. 2018 also marks the first year with seasoned film festival programming veteran Mike Plante serving as the Festival's Captain of Strategy.
