To cap off its over yearlong festival run, the gripping docudrama feature Mercy, written and directed by UK-based actress Wendy Morgan, has been named an official selection of the 12th edition of the Awareness Film Festival, scheduled from October 21 to 31, 2021 at the Regal Cinemas in downtown Los Angeles.

Omnibus Theatre and Jump Spark Theatre today announce the first full-scale staging of The Girl Who Was Very Good at Lying, following an award-nominated short run as part of Jermyn Street Theatre's Footprints Festival.

Tuesday October 5, 2021 – Road Less Traveled Productions will re-open its doors Thursday November 4th with the return of Hand to God by Robert Askins.

Gabanizza will release 'You're Not There,' on October 22, 2021. A tribute to Lorenzo's mother, 'You're Not There' features multi-platinum selling vocalist, Jeff Christie and guitar by Top 5 Billboard charting artist, Rusty Wright. It is a story about loss, inspired by Lorenzo's experience of losing his mother, last year.

Pitlochry Festival Theatre and The Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh, in association with Naked Productions, are delighted to announce the Sound Stage premiere of Timberlake Wertenbaker's new environmentally themed play Who Are You? 

Amelia Kinu Muus and Stanton Wright will star as Bella and Beast respectively in a new version of Beauty and the Beast by Ciaran McConville, with music and lyrics by Eamonn O’Dwyer, opening at Rose Theatre.

Final casting was announced today for the smash-hit Leeds Playhouse production of C.S. Lewis' classic The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe which begins a major tour of the UK and Ireland on November 2, 2021.   TV and theatre star Samantha Womack completes the cast to play Narnia's evil White Witch.

The cast is led by Pierre Jean Gonzalez as Alexander Hamilton, with Ta'Rea Campbell, Marcus Choi, Jared Dixon, Desmond Sean Ellington, Warren Egypt Franklin, Neil Haskell, Elijah Malcomb Stephanie Jae Park, Paige Smallwood, and more.

The acclaimed cast will include actress and presenter Preeya Kalidas as 'Margo Leadbetter', Dominic Rowan as 'Jerry Leadbetter', and Sally Tatum as 'Barbara Good', joining the previously announced actor and comedian Rufus Hound as 'Tom Good'. Also featured will be Nigel Betts and Tessa Churchard.

Now in its fifth year, the award – which honours the memory of RTST co-founder, Sir Peter Hall – offers the winner their first-time opportunity to direct a full-scale, fully funded, mid-scale regional touring production of a classic or modern play, which may be an existing play or a new adaptation of a novel or film.

The autobiographical play about growing up in 1980's Zimbabwe following independence opens at York Theatre Royal on 14 September, with previews from 9 September, until 18 September, with tour dates for 2022 to be announced.

Playwright and novelist Michael Frayn was today awarded  the Critics Circle Award for Services to the Arts, the Critics Circle’s highest honour. Every year since 1988, the Critics’ Circle has voted for a single leading artist to receive an engraved crystal rose bowl in recognition of their distinguished contribution to the arts.
