Nathan Lane was a guest on Monday night's episode of 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.' During the interview, the 'Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus' star shares some horror stories of the most critical reviews ever given on Broadway. He tells Colbert about the worst review he got for his Broadway debut, and the worst review playwright Terrence McNally received for his debut.

On this day in 2013, Academy Award-winner Tom Hanks made his Broadway debut in Lucky Guy, written by Nora Ephron and directed by George C. Wolfe. 

It was announced today that the world premiere production of Pulitzer Prize finalist and MacArthur Fellow Taylor Mac's new comedy Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus, has now set its Opening Night for Sunday, April 21, 6:00 p.m., at Broadway's Booth Theatre (222 West 45th Street). Preview performances began on Monday, March 11.

In a recent interview with the New York Times, Be More Chill composer Joe Iconis revealed that an off-Broadway production of Broadway Bounty Hunter, starring Annie Golden, is in the works. 

Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus, the new comedy by Pulitzer Prize finalist and MacArthur Fellow Taylor Mac, stars three-time Tony Award winner Nathan Lane and two-time Tony Award winner Andrea Martin. Directed by five-time Tony Award winner George C. Wolfe, Gary is set just after the blood-soaked conclusion of William Shakespeare's first tragedy, Titus Andronicus.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Michelle Williams has been advised by her doctors to take a leave of absence from performing. Lea Salonga, who originated the role in this production will play Erzulie from December 27 through its final performance on January 6.

It was announced today that the Tony Award winning Best Revival will close on Sunday, January 6, 2019. When it closes this production will have played 29 previews and 458 performances.

Producer Scott Rudin announced today that Tony Award nominee Kristine Nielsen will complete the starry cast of Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus, the new comedy by Pulitzer Prize finalist and MacArthur Fellow Taylor Mac, joining the previously announced three-time Tony Award winner Nathan Lane and two-time Tony Award winner Andrea Martin. Once On This Island announced today that the Grammy Award-winning artist and Destiny's Child singer Michelle T. Williams will return to Broadway as Erzulie in the Tony Award winning Best Revival starting Friday, November 30. Michelle T. Williams will play the role through Sunday, June 2, 2019.

Hailey Kilgore will return to role of Ti Moune in Once On This Island tonight, Tuesday, September 4. Hailey has been out of the show due to a foot injury.

The Actors Fund announced today that Once On This Island has added a Special Benefit Performance for The Actors Fund. This benefit performance will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 8:00 pm at the Circle in the Square Theatre (235 West 50th Street).

Original company member Loren Lott will take over the role of Ti Moune while Hailey Kilgore recovers from a foot injury.
