Prospect Theater Company has announced the performers who will be appearing in its 2022 Musical Theater Lab Concert presentation: Caption This. Thirty actors from Broadway and beyond will bring their talents to the stage to celebrate the hot-off-the-presses new works generated in this year's lab process. 

Next week, 54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club & Private Event Destination, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond. A recipient of the 2022 Tony Awards Honor for Excellence in the Theatre, 54 Below celebrates Broadway musicals and writers of the past and present, promoting an ongoing engagement with their work.

The Latiné Musical Theatre Lab, a new organization that develops and advocates for new Latiné-written works of musical theatre in order to radically change who gets to tell musical stories on stages across the country, is presenting its first ever Benefit Concert. 

This summer, New York Theatre Barn and the Fire Island Pines Arts Project will partner to create Barn on Fire, a new summer residency on Fire Island for three musical theatre writing teams and their original culture shifting musicals in development.

Pregones/Puerto Rican Traveling Theater announces the much awaited full run of its original musical production TORCHED! on May 19-June 12, 2022. Pulsing to the beat of salsa, funk-disco, and hip-hop, TORCHED! alternates from 1970's New York—when news of Bronx fires filled the headlines—to the present day featuring personal accounts of survival.

Leviathan Lab, a creative studio for Asian American Pacific Islander theatre artists, will present two work-in-process showings of FULL CONTACT, a new solo performance work written and performed by Ariel Estrada (Producing Artistic Director, Leviathan Lab; BIPOC Leadership Circle, artEquity) and directed by Gaven Trinidad (Rising Leader of Color, Theatre Communications Group) with mentorship by Chay Yew.

Teatro Latea, a 40 year old Latino cultural staple in the Lower East Side, is partnering with the Latiné Musical Theatre Lab, a brand new organization committed to advocating for new musicals written by Latiné writers, to present excerpts of four new musicals for their first '4xLatiné' event.

The all-Asian American cast includes Cindy Cheung (13 Reasons Why), Karl Josef Co (Pacific Overtures), Ali Ewoldt (The Phantom of the Opera), Diane Phelan (School of Rock), and Thom Sesma (Sweeney Todd). Steven Cuevas (Once On This Island) serves as music director.

On September 30, 2020 at 8 pm EDT, the stars of Broadway, TV, film, dance, and opera unite for a night of celebration of the Golden Age of Musical Theatre to raise money for The Facing History School.
