Jamie Dornan, Alec Baldwin and Christian Slater are set to lead the limited series from UPC 'Dr. Death,' based on the podcast of the same name.

Based on the inspiring life story of NASCAR icons Michael Waltrip and Dale Earnhardt Sr., the high-octane documentary “Blink of an Eye” is set to race into select cinemas nationwide this September. The film features interviews with Waltrip and Dale Earnhardt Jr. along with former Executive Vice President of Motorsports for Dale Earnhardt Inc., Ty Norris, as well as NASCAR Hall of Famers Richard Petty and Richard Childress. The cinema event also includes a special audio cameo by country music star, Trace Adkins. Additionally, fans will view a historical vignette on how the sport was born from renegade backwoods“moonshining,” a never seen interview of Dale Earnhardt Sr. by NASCAR legend Benny Parsons, a profile of Lee and Richard Petty with rare footage, plus a special “Blink of an Eye” video from singer Bobby Capps, by iconic rock band 38 Special backed by musicians from multi-platinum band 3 Doors Down.

Today at the Capitol Congress in Los Angeles, ESPN announced that Cletus the Van/Caroline recording artist Judah & the Lion will provide the musical backdrop for the 2019-20 College Football Season.  The newest single from the band – “Let Go” – will serve as the anthem for ESPN's coverage of College Football's 150th season, which kicks off on August 24. This marks the fifth year ESPN has collaborated with Universal Music Group.  Once again, music from the labels' biggest artists will be incorporated into ESPN college football programming, promotion and games throughout the season.

Famed magician and television personality Penn Jillette will be lending his voice to STORMY WEATHER, a ferocious new comedy written by Michael MacKenzie Wills and Directed by Jacob Demlow, that will be making its world premiere in a limited engagement run August 12 a?" 25 as part of the Rave Theater Festival at the Teatro Latea Theater, at the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center, 107 Suffolk Street, 2nd Floor. In the play, Mr Jillette takes on the role of a weather announcer who alerts residents in the Fire Island Pines about an impending storm. STORMY WEATHER contains nudity and adult situations, and is recommended for adults only.

With production underway, FX today shared a first look at the cast of the upcoming FX limited series Mrs. America. The images from unit photography were revealed by John Landgraf, Chairman, FX Networks and FX Production, during the Executive Session of FX Networks' presentation to the Television Critics Association.

Today, SHOWTIME Documentary Films announced that the latest feature from Emmy winning director Lauren Greenfield (The Queen of Versailles), THE KINGMAKER, will have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival this August. The documentary centers on the indomitable character and controversial political career of Imelda Marcos, the former first lady of the Philippines whose behind-the-scenes influence of her husband Ferdinand's presidency rocketed her to the global political stage. THE KINGMAKER will screen at additional festivals in the upcoming months, followed by a theatrical release this fall and a world television premiere on SHOWTIME in early 2020.

Hallmark Channel launched its annual 'Summer Nights' franchise with a splash on Saturday, featuring the premiere of 'Love and Sunshine', a new original movie. The film not only ranked as the highest-rated and most-watched program of the day, but it elevated the network to rank #1 across cable in household-rating during Weekend Primetime, and #2 during Primetime for the entire week[1]. The premiere averaged a 2.1 Household rating, 2 million Total Viewers, and 240,000 Women 25-54.

Applications are now open for the second iteration of Let's Take Over, a skills development program for 15 a?" 25 year olds which culminates in a one-day take over event at Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre. The program is based on the Young Producers program at Battersea Arts Centre in London and is returning for the second time due to the success of the inaugural program earlier this year.

Showtime Documentary Films announced it will premiere the network's first true crime docu-series,MURDER IN THE BAYOU, on Friday, September 13 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, from director Matthew Galkin (Kevorkian) and author Ethan Brown, whose New York Times Best Selling book Murder In The Bayou is the inspiration for the series. The five-part docu-series investigates the unsolved murders of eight women whose bodies were discovered between 2005 and 2009 in drainage canals and on desolate back roads in and around the town of Jennings, Louisiana in rural Jefferson Davis Parish. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine and Jana Winograde, Presidents of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc., at the Television Critics Association's Summer Press Tour.

Today, Showtime Documentary Films announced that the new docu-series COUPLES THERAPY from DGA®Award nominated and Sundance Award winning filmmakers Josh Kriegman, Elyse Steinberg, and Eli Despres – the team behind the acclaimed SHOWTIME documentary WEINER – will premiere on Friday, September 6 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ: VIA, VIA.B), through one of its subsidiaries, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Paws, Inc., the entity holding global intellectual property rights to the Garfield and the U.S. Acres franchises–including corresponding rights related to content, consumer products, and location-based experiences. The acquisition is expected to close in the upcoming weeks.

NBC has won the primetime ratings week of July 29-Aug. 4 in total viewers, according to “live plus same day” viewership figures from Nielsen Media Research.

BET Networks and Tyler Perry Studios announced today the second wave of talent joining the production of the new original drama 'The Oval.' The 25-episodes original series 'The Oval' will premiere this fall on BET. Javon Johnson, Ptosha Storey, Vaughn Hebron, Teesha Renee, Lodric Collins, Ciera Payton, Taja V. Simpson, Walter Fauntleroy, Brad Benedict, Travis Cure and Matthew Law join previously announced cast Ed Quinn, Kron Moore, Paige Hurd and Daniel Croix Henderson. The Paley Center for Media announced today that it will host its 13th annual PaleyFest Fall TV Previews September 5-15, 2019, at the Paley Center's Beverly Hills location.
