Mary Dimino Returns To Stapleton Waterfront Park

Labyrinth Arts Collective is pleased to present Walk This Way: Imagining My Staten Island.  The closing event is scheduled for August 11th, with headlining comedian Mary Dimino slated to perform at Stapleton Waterfront Park.  This will be a return engagement for Dimino, who headlined the opening summer 2019 ceremonies on July 14th.

BET Networks and Tyler Perry Studios Announce Perry's Second Original Series SISTAS

BET Networks and Tyler Perry Studios announced today the new original dramatic comedy, 'SISTAS,' the second series under Perry's exclusive, multi-year content partnership deal with Viacom (NASDAQ: VIAB, VIA). Starring KJ Smith, Ebony Obsidian, Mignon Von, and Novi Brown, 'SISTAS,' follows a group of single black females from different walks of life who bond over their one common thread: why am I single? In this bold new series, viewers watch these women navigate their 'complicated love life' status, careers and friendship through the ups-and-downs of living in a modern world of social media and unrealistic relationship goals. Premiering this fall on BET, the one-hour drama takes viewers on a roller coaster ride of emotions and hilarious moments that are the epitome of #squadgoals. Principal photography for 'SISTAS' is underway at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta.

Kabillion Secures Distribution Rights for Two International Kids Series

Kabillion, the only independently-owned VOD network ranked among the Top 10 Kids Free On Demand networks in the U.S., is again expanding its portfolio of kids' content to include Future Card Buddyfight Ace, an anime series for the school-age set, as well as Kiwi & Strit, an animated show for preschoolers. The addition of these two international series adds to the multiple of titles that Kabillion distributes across various leading streaming platforms, including Amazon, Hulu and VUDU. 

FX's BASKETS to End With Season Four Finale

FX Networks today announced that its critically acclaimed comedy series Baskets will come to an end with the show's season four finale on Thursday, August 22 on FX.

Hulu's Scripted Originals Content Team Joins Forces With Walt Disney Television

The Hulu Scripted Originals content team is joining forces with Walt Disney Television to integrate development of original scripted drama and comedy programming for the streaming service with Disney's expansive television resources. With this alignment, Craig Erwich, senior vice president of Scripted Originals for Hulu, will report to Dana Walden, chairman of Disney Television Studios and ABC Entertainment. Erwich will continue to lead scripted originals planning, development and commissioning for Hulu's original comedies and dramas, and his team will remain housed within the Santa Monica Hulu headquarters.

Tony Nominee Jeff Daniels to Star in New Showtime Series RUST

SHOWTIME has given a straight-to-series order to the drama RUST, starring Emmy winner and Tony® and Golden Globe® nominee Jeff Daniels (The Newsroom, Godless, The Looming Tower), who will executive produce and reteam with Oscar nominee Dan Futterman (Capote). Futterman will write multiple episodes of the series, which is co-produced with Platform One Media and based on Philipp Meyer's celebrated debut novel American Rust. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine and Jana Winograde, Presidents of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.

RATINGS: Season One of CHRISTINA ON THE COAST Delivers Double Digit Growth for HGTV

Season one of Christina on the Coast, which finaled Thursday, July 18, delivered a .70 live plus three-day rating among P25-54 - a 32% increase in the demo for the Thursday 9-9:30 p.m. ET/PT timeslot over the prior six weeks. The series, starring real estate and design expert Christina Anstead, helped HGTV rank as the #2 cable net in the timeslot among W25-54 and in the top 5 networks among upscale P25-54. Christina on the Coast attracted more than 12 million total viewers during the season.

Kate Mara, Nick Robinson to Star in New FX Limited Series A TEACHER

FX Networks has ordered A Teacher, a limited series based on Hannah Fidell's feature film of the same name and starring Kate Mara and Nick Robinson, it was announced today by Gina Balian and Nick Grad, Presidents, Original Programming, FX Entertainment. The 10-episode limited series is being produced by FX Productions.

BET Networks Announces the Cast for BIGGER

BET Networks announces the cast of the Will Packer and Will Packer Media executive produced original series, 'BIGGER' (formerly Peachtree Place), premiering on the network's streaming service BET+, this fall. 'BIGGER' is an entertaining and lively scripted comedy starring Tanisha Long, Angell Conwell, Rasheda Crockett, Chase Anthony, and Tristen Winger, which takes place in the East Atlanta neighborhood, Little Five Points. The 30-minute, ten-episode series follows a single-black-woman who is dealing with the threat of marriage to a boring-in-bed boyfriend and the sudden, random death of a college acquaintance. The tragedy drives her ambitious group of friends to take a deeper look at their stagnant lives, asking themselves - is there something bigger and better in life. 'BIGGER' recently wrapped production this summer in Atlanta.

RATINGS: NBC Wins The Week Of July 22-28 In Total Viewers

NBC has tied for #1 for the primetime ratings week of July 22-28 in adults 18-49 and won the week in total viewers, according to “live plus same day” viewership figures from Nielsen Media Research.

THE PARTING GLASS Starring Anna Paquin and Denis O'Hare Comes To Digital 9/10

In his feature film directorial debut, Stephen Moyer helms a star-studded cast in this powerful and emotional drama about an estranged family coming back together when the youngest sibling, Colleen (Anna Paquin), mysteriously dies. Left to sort through her belongings, Colleen's father (Ed Asner), three siblings (Melissa Leo, Cynthia Nixon and Denis O'Hare), and ex-husband (Rhys Ifans) revisit their memories and make peace together. Inspired by autobiographical events, Denis O'Hare makes his feature screenplay debut with this poignant and heartfelt story. The film comes to digital 9/10.

AMC and SundanceTV to Simulcast THE PREPPY MURDER: DEATH IN CENTRAL PARK

AMC and SundanceTV announced today from the Television Critics Association (TCA) Press Tour a simulcast of the upcoming true crime docuseries The Preppy Murder: Death in Central Park. The five-part series, which reexamines one of the most infamous crimes in recent American history – the 1986 killing of Jennifer Levin at the hands of Robert Chambers– will air over three consecutive nights, Wednesday, November 13th- Friday, November 15th at 9:00pm ET. 

BBC America Announces First Original Series Greenlight From BBC Studios' Natural History Unit

As part of BBC AMERICA's unprecedented commitment to landmark natural history series, the network announced today its first original series greenlight from BBC Studios' Natural History Unit, a groundbreaking six-part series, Eden (w/t), at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour.  From executive producer Mark Brownlow (Blue Planet II, Planet Earth), Eden (w/t) joins BBCA's upcoming slate of landmark event series including the Sir David Attenborough-fronted Seven Worlds, One Planet, Frozen Planet II, Planet Earth III and more.

AMC Networks Announces Premiere Dates for New, Returning Series and Seasonal Events Such as FEARFEST, BEST CHRISTMAS EVER

AMC Networks announced today from the Television Critics' Association (TCA) Press Tour premiere dates for several new and returning original series, including IFC's Baroness von Sketch Show, which has been picked up for a fifth season, and programming events, including AMC's FearFest and newly expanded Best Christmas Ever holiday celebration, which will air across all of AMC Networks. 

AMC Announces First Two Projects In Development As Part Of Latoya Morgan's Scripted Inclusion Initiative

AMC announced today from the Television Critics' Association (TCA) Press Tour two projects in development as part of the AMC Scripted Inclusion Initiative in collaboration with LaToya Morgan which launched the last year. Farmhand, based on the comic from Eisner and Harvey award-winning creator Rob Guillory about a Southern farmer who grows plant-based organ transplants and Of Two Minds, about a woman who must rebuild her life after a brain injury, are both in active development at AMC.  Additional projects will also be developed under this initiative.  

Smithsonian Channel to Premiere HUNT FOR EAGLE 56

Smithsonian Channel will reveal the exclusive story of the discovery of the “Holy Grail” of missing World War II warships, the USS Eagle 56. The new three-part series, HUNT FOR EAGLE 56, will follow the Nomad Exploration Team – a group of New England wreck divers who made the discovery – as they unearth cryptic clues 200 feet below the ocean's surface off the coast of Maine. The revelation confirms that Eagle 56 is the last U.S. Navy warship sunk by a German submarine off the U.S. East Coast during WWII. HUNT FOR EAGLE 56 will premiere on Smithsonian Channel on Sunday, September 22 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
