Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS) and Entertainment One Ltd. (LSE: ETO) (eOne) today announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Hasbro will acquire eOne in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately '3.3 billion or US$4.0 billion. Under the terms of the agreement, eOne shareholders will receive '5.60 in cash for each common share of eOne, which represents a 31% premium to eOne's 30-day volume weighted average price (VWAP) as of August 22, 2019.
Hallmark Channel's 'Good Witch' wrapped up on Sunday with stellar ratings, claiming the #2 spot among scripted series on ad-supported cable. The original series, now concluding its fifth season, propelled the network to rank #1 in Household rating on Sundays, further lifting Hallmark Channel to be the highest-rated and most-watched cable network on the weekends[1]. Overall, the ten episodes averaged a 2.8 Household rating, 2.8 million Total Viewers, and 419,000 Women 25-54, becoming the highest-rated and most-watched season of 'Good Witch' in series history.
Ovation and Journy Capture Premiere Dates for Two Seasons of Ovation, America's only arts network, has announced the dual premiere dates of both seasons of its latest docuseries Chasing the Sun. After the success of season one on JOURNY, Ovation's culture and travel-focused AVOD channel, the arts network will air back-to-back episodes of the first season starting on Thursday, October 3 at 7pm ET. Ovation, which partnered with Save Your Day Films and executive producer Stephen Friedman, will launch the second season on JOURNY starting on Wednesday, October 2. The coproduction marks Chasing the Sun as JOURNY's first original series.
