Compulsion Dance & Theatre has announced the cast for the Los Angeles Premiere of A Twisted Bargain, the first play in Michael Mizerany's Thrillogy Series.

Christian Skinner and Gabriel Andrade have been cast in the two-hander THE BIG D that will have its West Coast Premiere at the Flight Theater at The Complex in Hollywood in late August.

The final week of performances for A TWISTED BARGAIN, inspired by the life and crimes of Leopold & Loeb, are this Thursday-Sunday, April 7-10, 2022 at The Forum Stage at The Tenth Avenue Arts Center.

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, The Ringwald Theatre takes its annual Gay Arts Festival, Gay4Detroit, to the streaming world. This move will allow The Ringwald to keep creating content for its audiences and will allow the theatre to maintain a revenue stream during these unprecedented times.

SDMT kicks off this summer with the feel good comedy All Shook Up. Nominated for 3 Outer Critics Circle awards including Best Musical, featuring the songs of Elvis Presley. Loosely based on Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night,' 'All Shook Up' tells the story of a small town girl with big dreams from somewhere in the middle of a square state in the middle of a square decade, and the motorcycle-riding stud she falls for. He changes everything and everyone he meets in this hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy that'll have you jumpin' out of your blue suede shoes with such classics as 'Heartbreak Hotel,' 'Jailhouse Rock,' and 'Don't Be Cruel.'

It is also a universal truth that PRIDE AND PREJUDICE will be portrayed with the stiff formality of prior Austen adaptations - it's the law.  Thankfully, the Kate Hamill adaption now playing at the Cygnet Theatre through June 16th takes all of the starch out of the proceedings and adds in a bit of zany fun instead.

The final show of Cygnet's sixteenth season brings fun, whimsy and modern-day humor to a beloved classic by Jane Austen. Pride and Prejudice runs May 15 through June 16, 2019. Opening Night for media is Saturday, May 18 at 8:00PM. The outspoken Elizabeth Bennet faces mounting pressure from her status-conscious mother to secure a suitable marriage. But is marriage suitable for a woman of Elizabeth's intelligence and independence?
