Workshop Theatre Company Celebrates 15th Anniversary Oct. 27

In honor of WorkShop Theater Company's 15th Anniversary Season, Tony Award winner Bill Irwin, two-time Tony Award nominee André De Shields, Heather MacRae, members of both the Original and Broadway-Bound casts of HAIR, along with New York's finest new vaudeville and burlesque acts and WorkShop Company artists, will perform live to benefit WorkShop Theater on Monday, October 27, 7:00 PM at the Zipper Factory.

The WorkShop Theater Company, whose members developed, wrote and produced the Academy-Award-winning film, 'Finding Neverland,' announces a two week run of 'WEIRD,' a new comedy by Ben Alexander, developed at the WorkShop.

Armonk Players Presents 'Lend Me a Tenor'

Lend Me A Tenor is a door-slamming, dress-dropping farce with mistaken identities, mischievous misunderstandings, compromising positions and hilarious situations. It is set in 1934 at the Cleveland Opera Company, where everyone is going wild over the impending visit of world-famous tenor Tito Merelli. But the tenor takes too many tranquilizers, leaving the promoter and his assistant to assess that Merelli is dead. The assistant decides to impersonate Merelli, but the star awakens and stumbles out of his hotel room, leaving too many tenors afoot. LOTS OF FUN!!!

Terrence McNally's 'Some Men'

The Tony Award Winning Terrence McNally has written The Ritz, Love, Valour, Compassion, Frankie and Johnnie in the Clare Delune, Master Class, Bad Habits, the controversial Corpus Christi and the books to the musicals Kiss of the Spiderwoman, The Rink, The Full Monty and Ragtime. He also won an Emmy for the teleplay of Andre's Mother.

Emerging Artists Presents 'One Man Talking' 5/20-25

EMERGING ARTISTS THEATRE and PAUL ADAMS, ARTISTIC DIRECTOR present ONE MAN TALKING for a one-week only engagement at Roy Arias Theatre Center, Off-Off Broadway Theatre (300 West 43rd St, 5th floor, NYC). The festival is curated by EAT members, William Reinking and Tom Greenman. Performances begin Tuesday, May 20, 2008, and run through Sunday, May 25, 2008.

'Chorus Line' Stars, Etc. Set for Boys in the Band Reading

According to the website of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Theater Company, a staged reading of Mort Crowley's 1968 play The Boys in the Band - directed by Hector Lugo with choreography by Josh Walden - will be presented on Monday, July 30th at 7 PM

Broadway Stars Set for L.A. Lloyd Webber Concert, 1/20

The San Gabriel Valley Music Theatre (SGVMT), a newly formed not-for-profit producing organization which launched its first Broadway season with The Sound of Music during November, 2006 at the San Gabriel Valley Civic Auditorium (Mission Playhouse), will present 'The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber.'
