Flat Rock Playhouse has announced their education program, Studio 52, will be hosting in-person and virtual summer camps for Rising 1st - 12th Grade artists. Studio 52 Summer Camps offer training in Acting, Musical Theatre, Dance, and Improv with returning instructors Tania Battista, Lisa K. Bryant, Matthew Glover, Anna Kimmell, and Bill Muñoz.
Flat Rock Playhouse’s Studio 52 is continuing their virtual workshop series with Virtual Audition Workshop with Adam Kaplan on Saturday, April 17 from 11 AM to 1 PM EST. The workshop is recommended for ages 12 - 18, and it is offered for a suggested donation of $25.

Flat Rock Playhouse was awarded a $20,000 grant by the Community Foundation of Henderson County for their Playhouse Jr. initiative. The Playhouse launched Playhouse Jr. Productions in 2019 with Letterland Alive! The Musical developed in partnership with Letterland, a phonics program for K-3rd grade students, and writer/composer Ethan Andersen, who most recently wrote Rootabaga Express! a musical inspired by the works of Carl Sandburg and performed in the summers by Flat Rock Playhouse apprentices at the Carl Sandburg National Historic Site.

On Thursday, June 25, the Village Council for the Village of Flat Rock met to approve their budget for the fiscal year beginning on July 1, 2020. The Village Council agreed to appropriate $40,000 to Flat Rock Playhouse.

Flat Rock Playhouse welcomes Fall and all its seasonal delights with The Turn of the Screw, an adaptation of the classic 1898 horror novella by Henry James. The Turn of the Screw occurs in Victorian England on a remote country estate when a new governess arrives and assumes care for two orphaned children at the request of their mysterious uncle. While the home and children initially seem picturesque, the governess soon begins to question if there might be more figures wandering around the estate than just the children. Running October 24th - November 2nd, The Turn of the Screw, guarantees exciting thrills and lively debate.
