Cabaret, concert and recording artist Travis Moser returned to The Green Room 42 with Just One Look: The Songs of Linda Ronstadt.
Travis Moser is a gifted storyteller as well as an excellent vocalist, as he proved many times in the evening. Most notably in “The Moon’s a Harsh Mistress. It is a very poetic lyric that he delivered with great emotion. He was also particularly effective in Jimmy Webb’s “Still Within the Sound of My Voice,” which opened this show. He found a wistful energy in “Adios” and brought some world-weariness to “I”m Blowing Away.” I especially enjoyed his reading of “What’ll I Do?,” the Irving Berlin tune from Ronstadt’s popular “What’s New? album.
Travis pays homage to the legendary Ms. Ronstadt with very special guests Bistro Award winner Jack Bartholet, Obie Award-winner Elijah Caldwell (A Strange Loop), and 2020 BroadwayWorld Cabaret Award nominee Lillian Andrea De Leon, all mainstays of the NYC cabaret and/or theater scene.

The workshop will culminate on September 23rd with a public presentation of excerpts from these writers' new works.

Last Thursday we had our first show of 2020 and what better way to kick off the New Year than our first-ever Rising Star Reunion! At every show we do, along with our Broadway performers who come to sing with us, we also showcase a young artist who has not yet tread the Great White Way! Many of our Rising Stars go on to do INCREDIBLE things and we were so happy to be joined by some of our favorite alumni!
