Pompano Beach Arts has announced the new group exhibition, Fin, which celebrates the achievements of the 2022/2023 Artists in Residence (AiR) at Bailey Contemporary Arts (BaCA).

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts virtually hosted more than 110 outstanding theater students from colleges and universities across the nation as part of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF).

The New York City-based Kairos Italy Theater along with the Italy-based KIT Italia and Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò at NYU will present the 10th anniversary season of the In Scena! Italian Theater Festival NY, a festival of Italian theater taking place in all five boroughs of NYC, May 1-16.

​ The 2023 Lower East Side Film Festival (“LESFF”) has announced the programming for its 13th annual event, which includes exclusive feature film premieres, specialty short showcases, industry panels, and parties from May 4 - 8 at the Village East Cinema, DCTV Firehouse Cinema, plus virtually through May 14. The acclaimed documentary series about art and artists, EXHIBITION ON SCREEN, will debut at The Park Theatre in Jaffrey on May 10 with Vermeer: The Greatest Exhibition. The 8-part series will present one new documentary film each month, May through December on the second Wednesday of each month at 1:30pm. They will be screened in the 333-seat Eppes Auditorium with its 27-foot wide screen and 17-speaker surround sound.

On Friday, April 14th, at the exclusive Zenyara Estate in Coachella, Casamigos was front and center at TAO Desert Nights Presented by Jeeter. The coveted Coachella bash kicked off Weekend One after parties with guests including Leonardo DiCaprio, Diddy, Becky G, Post Malone, Diplo, Madison Pettis and Alex Palls of Chainsmokers. Raven Theatre will conclude its 40th Anniversary Season with the Chicago premiere of The October Storm, by Joshua Allen, a follow up to Allen’s smash-hit The Last Pair of Earlies.

 Performing Arts Houston has announced its 23/24 Season of national and international touring artists and new works from artists in the Houston community. The arrival of the new season will coincide with major advances in the multi-year renovation of Jones Hall, including the installation of new auditorium seating, expanded restrooms, and more.

The plays of Shakespeare have been translated into more than one hundred languages, and his timeless stories have inspired great works in many art forms. For the second year in-person after creating the series during the pandemic, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company (CSC) and the Coolidge Corner Theatre ('the Coolidge') are teaming up to take an in-depth look at how some filmmakers have brought Shakespeare's stories to the screen. 

Footloose: The Musical, produced by Panic! Productions & BarCinBoo Productions, is returning to Califórnia, for 13 performances April 22 – May 14, 2023.  Footloose is all about fun, dancing and the carefree nature of being a teenager... However, the show is honestly about so much more.  

About Face Theatre concludes its 28th season with the world premiere of Gender Play, or what you Will by Will Wilhelm and Erin Murray, performing May 4 through June 3, 2023, at The Den Theatre.

​​​​​​​Orlando Sings presents a one-night-only performance of George Frideric Handel's Messiah in beautiful Steinmetz Hall on March 30th. Conducted by executive and artistic director Dr. Andrew Minear and featuring world-class soloists and the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, Orlando Sings hopes that this will be the first of many more Messiah's to come for the organization. 

Alex Boniello has joined the cast of the new Descendants movie musical on Disney+. The Spring Awakening and Dear Evan Hansen star will play Jack of Diamonds, the captain of the Queen of Hearts' Red Army. He joins the recently confirmed Paolo Montalban, who will reunite with his “Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella” co-star Brandy.

Columbia University School of the Arts will present Dmitri Barcomi's (Columbia MFA Directing Candidate 2023) production of Botticelli in the Fire. 

Montalban will portray King Charming, Cinderella’s (Brandy) husband and Chloe’s (Malia Baker) dad, who is as much in love with Cinderella as he ever was.  He previously played Prince Charming opposite Brandy’s Cinderella in Walt Disney Television’s iconic 1997 movie “Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella.”

A stage adaptation of Smash will be helmed by 5-time Tony-winning director Susan Stroman, with a score by the Tony- and Grammy-winning duo Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. We have all the details on the Broadway production!
