The Shaw Festival in Niagara on the Lake is presenting Frederick Knott's suspenseful drama in a new adaptation by Jeffrey Hatcher that slowly builds to a nail-biting climax sure to intrigue audiences.

JACK LEMMON 100, a two-week festival of classics from the 1950s to the 1990s, will run at Film Forum from Friday, May 16 to Thursday, May 29, in commemoration of Lemmon’s centennial year in 2025.

Days of Wine and Roses is set to transfer to Broadway, starring Kelli O'Hara and Brian d'Arcy James, who led the production off-Broadway earlier this year. Running for 16 weeks only, performances will begin on January 6, 2024 at Studio 54. 

Atlantic Theater Company presents the world premiere musical Days of Wine and Roses. The original title of the Sondheim-Laurents ANYONE CAN WHISTLE was THE NATIVES ARE RESTLESS, though the crowd at Carnegie Hall on Thursday for the MasterVoices concert performance of the trouble musical were hardly fidgety. They were willing and able to sit through the cockamamie book and story Arthur Laurents concocted to hear the wonderful score by the late and very lamented Stephen Sondheim. And, believe me, Ted Sperling, leading the orchestra and big chorus, with a couple of strong guest performers, showed how good much of this score can be.

Torrance Theatre Company is brining suspense and chills to 1316 Cabrillo with their latest production of WAIT UNTIL DARK, originally written by Frederick Knott, and adapted in 2013 by Jeffery Hatcher. The show opens on Friday, March 18 and runs through Sunday, April 10, 2022.

Noted television director and producer John Erman, who directed episodes of many of the great television shows and TV movies and mini-series from the early sixties all the way into the 2000’s, died in New York on June 25th after a brief illness.
