On Friday¬†April 3, Sounds of Saving¬†will host its 2nd ‚ÄúFeedback Session.‚ÄĚ ‚ÄúCOVID 19: Mental Health + Music‚ÄĚ will take place at¬†6pm EST¬†via¬†YouTube. Registration link is¬†HERE. Musicians, mental health professionals and audiences will virtually convene to address what is on everyone's mind -- how do we keep it together in this time of so much uncertainty and concern?¬†The event will feature solo performances by musicians¬†Kate Davis,¬†Raffaella¬†and¬†Oxymorrons, interspersed with honest conversations with the artists about their own struggles and coping with our new reality. The Feedback Session will be moderated by¬†Robert Galligan, a psychologist based in Brooklyn, who will offer feedback and insight into mental wellness, creativity as a healing strategy and managing anxiety and emotions during the crisis and isolation.¬†

Brooklyn Vegan premiered the title track today, saying 'It's an instantly satisfying song, one that should appeal to fans of Kate's jazz roots as well as fans of indie rock.' Its video follows the hypnotic performer through a talent show of her own comedic design, as she embodies more personalities ‚ÄĒ and hairstyles ‚ÄĒ than displayed to date, and offers new insight into her charming eccentricity. Kate Davis has shared the second offering from her upcoming album Trophy out November 8 on Solitaire Recordings (Common Holly, Jonathan Something). Consequence of Sound premiered 'Cloud' today, saying 'the track is a soft, rolling number with daydreaming guitar lines tumbling over the steady snap of a snare.' Kate elaborates, ''Cloud' is a love song written about the fleeting relationships and desires of our teen dreams. The song was tracked live at Trout Recording in BK. I do not have a creepy obsession with teens - merely a desire to relive some of my lost youth.'

Scheduled in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the actual events, Kate Davis and David Heilbroner's Stonewall Uprising will have an encore broadcast on American Experience on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, 9:00-10:30 p.m. (check local listings) and available for simultaneous streaming on pbs.org.
