According to EW.com, stage and screen star Harvey Fierstein has signed on to join the third season of CBS' THE GOOD WIFE as a judge. He'll play 'a liberal, ex-hippie type who marches to a different drummer. He'll preside over a case Alicia (Julianna Margulies) is working on with a sharp eye, but rather laid-back speech.'

Set to appear in The Good Wife this season are stage and screen veterans Parker Posey, Peter Jacobson, and Bill Heck; they join the previously announced Harvey Fierstein, Michael Arden, and Eddie Izzard in the set of guest stars that the CBS drama has lined up.

The nominations were released earlier this month for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards. New York Stage and Film (Johanna Pfaelzer, Artistic Director; Mark Linn-Baker, Max Mayer, Leslie Urdang, Producing Directors) and Vassar College (Ed Cheetham, Producing Director) have announced the full line-up of their 2011 Powerhouse Theater season, now entering its 27th year. The result of a unique collaboration between New York Stage and Film and Vassar College, the program consists of an eight-week residency on the Vassar campus (124 Raymond Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY) during which more than 200 professional artists and some 40 apprentices live and work together to create new theater works. The 2011 Main Stage season kicks off with Patricia Wettig's F2M (June 29 - July 10).

The Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA), a new offshoot of the Broadcast Film Critics Association, today announced the winners of the Critics' Choice Television Awards, hosted by Cat Deeley and scheduled to take place at a luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel on June 20, 2011.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Interim Executive Director Joey Parnes) announced today that the 2011 Summer Gala will honor Gail Merrifield Papp and Time Warner Inc. for their dedication and commitment to The Public Theater. The Gala will be held on Monday, June 20 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park and will include dinner under the stars, a performance of All's Well That Ends Well, and a cast party immediately following the performance. The benefit event is being chaired by Public Theater Board Members Hilary Feshbach, Liev Schreiber, and Sam Waterston.
