Ivoryton opens the 2020 season with a brand new version of one of off-Broadways most popular shows - FORBIDDEN BROADWAY COMES TO IVORYTON. In this long-running Off-Broadway hit musical revue, Broadway's greatest musical legends meet Broadway's greatest satirist in this hilarious, loving, and endlessly entertaining tribute to some of the theatre's greatest stars and songwriters. The complete cast is set for Mill Mountain Theatre's upcoming Spring Musical: Dreamgirls, running March 25 - April 11 on the Trinkle MainStage. A dazzling journey through 20th-century American popular music, Dreamgirls follows the rising stardom of The Dreamettes, an all-girl Motown group from Chicago. Known for its 2006 feature film adaptation starring Jennifer Hudson, Dreamgirls is filled with show-stopping musical numbers from the genres of gospel, R&B, smooth pop, disco, and more.

We just had a BLAST this past Thursday at Broadway Sessions during our All-Star Open Mic Party! Along with guest host, Anthony Fett, and our incredible Open-Mic singers, we were joined by guest performers Carly Sakolove, Giuseppe Bausillio, Zurin Villanueva, Joel Waggoner, Lauren Elder, Josh Walker, Vishal Vaidya, Josh Bardier, Paul HeeSang Miller and Tim Young! Our fierce Open Mic-ers had a song in our heart, and we are so thrilled that they joined us and helped make it a night to remember! 

BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway cast twice monthly. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida, Footloose, Dance Captain Dance Attack web series) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.

Opening on Wednesday, May 22 and running through June 16, Ivoryton Playhouse presents the beautiful and uplifting musical, GODSPELL.  GODSPELL began as John Michael Tebelak's master thesis at Carnegie Mellon University with lyrics taken directly from the Episcopal Hymnal. Stephen Schwartz, also from Carnegie Mellon, was hired to write a new score, adding original songs to the modernized hymns.

The Picher Project will showcase a 30-minute preview at Dixon Place on Friday, April 26th at 10pm. Tickets can be purchased through dixonplace.org or here. The event is a double-bill of new musicals.

Honeck-Moss Productions presents "In The Works." This exciting series was conceived as an opportunity for composers to try out new work in front of an audience and see how it plays in a supportive environment. It is also an opportunity to create community among the composers and their performers.

Popular theatrical concert series 'Songs From The Shows I Should Have #Booked' is #back with an all new cast! With voices that will make you say 'how are you not playing this on Broadway?.. Or at least (insert regional theatre here)?' Songs From The Shows I Should Have #Booked' will go up for one-performance-only on Saturday March 30th 6:30pm at The West End Lounge in NYC.

Beginning January 20th, 2019, award-winning musical theatre composer and singer-songwriter, Drew Gasparini will produce and host a brand new live concert series at Rockwood Music Hall (Stage 3) in New York City showcasing local writers and performers.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, will present RAISE A GLASS: THE MUSIC & LYRICS OF DREW GASPARINI on Thursday, October 4th at 9:30pm to a SOLD OUT audience.  The cast features 2018 Tony nominee Ethan Slater (SpongeBob SquarePants), Kathryn Gallagher (Jagged Little Pill), Drew Gehling (Waitress, Dave), Gizel Jimenez (Avenue Q, Miss You Like Hell), Ben Fankhauser (Newsies), and Andrew Kober (Twelfth Night), among others. 

Feinstein's/54 Below will present Raise A Glass: The Music and Lyrics of Drew Gasparini on Thursday, October 4th at 9:30pm. RENT 20TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR opened at Appleton's Fox Cities Performing Arts Center on May 11 and will continue to play through May 13. In spite of its advancing age, RENT remains relevant, compelling and enjoyable.
