The five-time Emmy Award-nominated primetime special CARPOOL KARAOKE: WHEN CORDEN MET MCCARTNEY LIVE FROM LIVERPOOL will be rebroadcast Monday, August 19 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The primetime special features footage from the popular a?oePaul McCartney Carpool Karaokea?? segment which aired on THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN on June 21, 2018. During the a?oeCarpool Karaokea?? segment, Corden and McCartney drove around Liverpool, visited McCartney's childhood home and several of the places referenced in the song a?oePenny Lane,a?? and surprised locals with an intimate performance at a pub. The special originally aired August 20, 2018.

In casting news, The Little Mermaid casting continues to go underway, with reports that Javier Bardem will play King Triton. Not only do we have the film to look forward to, but it was also announced that ABC will air The Little Mermaid Live! with Auli'i Cravalho and Queen Latifah. The manic physical shtick is perfectly delivered and both director and cast have hit the mark. This is not easy to achieve particularly within a static set but it is so well delivered that we were mesmerised and fully into all the goings-on. The laughs were hearty and came in the right places and the more I noticed each character's actions the more I laughed.

The Television Academy has updated the list of this year's Emmy nominations following producer credit vetting, and THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN's star, James Corden, is now the most nominated performer/producer/writer for the 71st Emmy Awards with seven nominations, while executive producer Ben Winston leads all individual nominations with eight. THE LATE LATE SHOW Executive Producer Rob Crabbe also received five nominations.
