TheatreWorks Silicon Valley announced its 52nd season, featuring six plays and musicals to be presented November 2022 through August 2023. Three of the season's productions will be mounted at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, and three will be staged at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre. Subscriptions are now available; single tickets will be available in the coming months at TheatreWorks.org.

Overshadowed Theatrical Productions brings Disney's Beauty and the Beast to the stage. The musical entertains with all of your favorite numbers like Be Our Guest, Beauty and the Beast, and Belle; the music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice. Linda Woolverton's book brings the magic of the classic animated feature to the stage.

Ariel, King Triton's youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends, Flounder the fish, Scuttle the seagull and Sebastian the crab to restore order under the sea. Disney's The Little Mermaid offers a fantastic creative opportunity for rich costumes and sets, as well as the chance to perform some of the best-known songs from the past 30 years.

Popejoy Hall will present two musicals still running on Broadway as well as a couple of well-known stars as part of its 2022-2023 season. The season includes 21 shows overall with a total of 50 performances from October 6, 2022 through June 11, 2023.

Single tickets for Disney’s Aladdin will go on sale to the public on Thursday, June 23 at 10 a.m. The hit Broadway musical will begin performances in Schenectady at Proctors on Tuesday, October 11 for a limited engagement of two weeks through Sunday, October 23.
