by Stephi Wild
- Sep 20, 2022
While working as an assistant in a floral shop, shy Seymour stumbles across a new breed of plant. He names it “Audrey II,” after the coworker he has a crush on. But Audrey II isn’t as “proper” as Audrey. In a deep, R&B voice, it promises unending fame and fortune to Seymour as long as he supplies it with BLOOD! But just what does Audrey II have in mind for Seymour... and the world?
Review: LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS at Great Lakes Theater
by Roy Berko
- Sep 19, 2022
What did LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS is the kind of show that many love to hate while others love it. The topics of abuse and drug use, which are not in the wheelhouse of musicals, sometimes turn people off, as does the phy-sci-centered plot. The GLT production is as good as you are going to get. It solidly hits all the comic and horror notes. It’s a must see for the script’s fans!

Review: SISTER ACT at Chateau Neuf, Oslo
by Christian Ranke

'Sister Act - The Musical' based on the 1992 movie has landed in Oslo. 'Sister Act,' which opened last night. While the original creatives is only partly successful in adapting the 1992 movie to the stage, it is a feel-good crowd-pleaser worth seeing.
Review: LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS at Village Theatre
by Jay Irwin
- Sep 18, 2022
Howard Ashman and Alan Menken’s “Little Shop of Horrors” is arguably one of those near perfect musicals. I will argue with you on this from now until the plants take over the earth as it remains my absolute favorite. But it needs to be done right. That’s not to say it needs to be done the same way every time. One of the best productions I saw was a modern retelling set in a real skid row. But this B-movie sci-fi adaptation needs to have that humor, that crispness, and that bite to make it work. And while the current production from Village Theatre has some wonderful performances and voices, it suffers from a lack of pace and that crispness and bite to take it from a fun show to a killer one.

Review: You Don't Want to Miss LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS At the Warwick Theatre
by Steve Wilson
- Aug 16, 2022
Nick Padgett, Producing Artistic Director of Padgett Productions presents LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, through August 21 at the Warwick Theatre in the Westport Entertainment District. This production is one of the best to hit the stage in Kansas City this year. I know when I left the theater I could still hear the songs in my head, and it continued for several joyous days.
