Johnathan Lee Iverson brings his commanding presence and noteworthy professional vocals to his new solo cabaret - The Last Ringmaster: A Musical Journey from Choirboy to the Big Top - in The Winter Park Playhouse Spotlight Cabaret Series, May 18 and 19, 2022. Playhouse Musical Director Christopher Leavy will accompany on piano. 

Fresh off the popular run of The Marvelous Wonderettes: Dream On at The Winter Park Playhouse, Anastasia Remoundos will bring her dynamic vocals to a brand new solo cabaret - Sing Happy! -  in The Winter Park Playhouse Spotlight Cabaret Series, April 13 and 14, 2022. Playhouse Musical Director Christopher Leavy will accompany on piano. 

Patrece Bloomfield will bring her striking vocals to a new solo cabaret Jazzy Skies With Broadway Showers: A little bit of Billie, Natalie and Broadway! in The Winter Park Playhouse Spotlight Cabaret Series, March 23 and 24, 2022.

What a pleasure it is to discover a hidden (or not so hidden!) gem. Such was the case for me this weekend, when I visited, for the first, but certainly not last, time the Winter Park Playhouse in Winter Park (Orlando), FL. The theatre, which positions itself as Central Florida’s only professional musical theatre, is presenting its latest production, the Southeastern premiere of J.C. Johnson and Garry Holmes’ TRAV’LIN: A 1930’s HARLEM MUSICAL ROMANCE. What I discovered when entering this space was a vibrant, warm, inviting and thriving theatre company which, if evidenced by the current production, offers high-quality, entertaining and thrilling productions of musical theatre to Orlando theatergoers. The Winter Park Playhouse, referred to by Executive Director, Heather Alexander in her curtain speech for TRAV’LIN as the “Cheers of Musical Theatre” seems to live up to that reference – a place where everyone knows your name and which welcomes each patron with warm smiles and, most importantly, a good time.

Who Could Ask For Anything More? Ms. Laura Hodos pays tribute to the iconic Ethel Merman and premieres her newest solo cabaret in The Winter Park Playhouse Spotlight Cabaret Series, February 23 and 24, 2022. Playhouse Musical Director Christopher Leavy will accompany on piano. 

Russell Stephens will debut his new solo cabaret - Everybody Says Don't: The Music and Lyrics of Stephen Sondheim - at The Winter Park Playhouse on January 26 and 27, 2022 as part of the theatre's popular Spotlight Cabaret Series.  Playhouse Musical Director Christopher Leavy will accompany on piano.

As part of its popular One-Night-Only Series, The Winter Park Playhouse will pay tribute to our veteran men and women in uniform as they present The Swing It! Girls - Salute Our Veterans on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 7:30 p.m.  

Join the multi-talented Ms. Boles as she sings her vocal love letter to Ms. Audra McDonald, highlighting the songs and the career of the Emmy, two-time Grammy and record breaking six-time Tony Award winner!  Patrons will be treated to an evening of Broadway, opera and concert favorites including 'Summertime,' 'It Might As Well Be Spring,' 'Beauty and The Beast,' 'God Bless the Child' and many more. 

Kevin Kelly, local crooner and area favorite, will debut his newest solo cabaret - Did You Miss Me? - May 19 and 20, 2021 at The Winter Park Playhouse in the theatre's monthly Spotlight Cabaret Series.

This special 90-minute show will be held at The Winter Park Playhouse with socially distanced seating in place.  Net proceeds will support The Winter Park Playhouse's year-round musical programming in-house and out in the community.
