STARZ released the trailer for their horror comedy that’s part family dramedy, part homage to classic horror in “Shining Vale” created by Jeff Astrof (“Trial & Error') and Sharon Horgan (“Divorce'), starring Emmy Award® nominee Courteney Cox (“Friends'), Academy Award® nominee and Emmy Award® winner Greg Kinnear and Oscar® winner Mira Sorvino.

As BroadwayWorld first reported in 2019, a legal battle between the Harper Lee Estate and Dramatic Publishing has been ongoing since the arrival of Aaron Sorkin's Broadway adaptation of the play.

News of more closings - and planned reopenings - highlighted the Broadway news last week, and Broadway and many regions also announced an extension of mask mandates and vaccination requirements for audiences into the spring, serving as a reminder that the path to that final “new normal” will likely have a few more twists and turns before we arrive.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that To Kill a Mockingbird, written by Aaron Sorkin with direction by Bartlett Sher, will close this Sunday, January 16, following 45 previews and 626 regular performances. But, the show will then move to the Belasco Theatre.

Today, January 16, Broadway says goodbye to four beloved productions. Flying Over Sunset will conclude its run at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre following 28 previews and 35 regular performances; Clyde's wraps up at the Hayes Theatre following 24 previews and 61 regular performances; Ain't Too Proud finishes it's almost three-year run at the Imperial Theatre after 21 previews and 488 regular performances; and To Kill A Mockingbird pauses performances at the Shubert Theatre following 45 previews and 626 regular performances.

Original cast member Baize Buzan will return to To Kill a Mockingbird opposite Greg Kinnear.

Producer Barry Diller announced today that Academy Award® nominee and two-time Emmy Award® winner Greg Kinnear will make his Broadway debut in the iconic role of ‘Atticus Finch’ in the Broadway production of To Kill a Mockingbird, Aaron Sorkin’s new play, directed by Bartlett Sher, and based on Harper Lee’s classic novel, beginning January 5, 2022. Tony Award nominee and Emmy Award winner Jeff Daniels’ final performance will be on Sunday, January 2, 2022.
