Cast Set For RICHARD III at Chanticleer Shakespeare Co.

Chanticleer Shakespeare Co. has announced the principal Equity cast for its upcoming production of Richard III, featuring five standout performers with credits spanning Broadway, Shakespeare festivals, and major screen roles.

Seattle Shakespeare to Welcome Back Audiences With DRUM AND COLOURS

After two years since audiences stepped into the Center Theatre, Seattle Shakespeare is welcoming them back with rotating repertory showpiece. Shakespeare: Drum and Colours is a pairing of Hamlet and As You Like It that features an all-POC company performing both shows.  Lamar Legend will direct As You Like It and Juan A Mas will direct Hamlet.

Seattle Shakespeare Company announced plans to return to indoor performance with a series of productions.  Shakespeare: Drum and Colours, an ambitious, alternating repertory of two Shakespeare classics pared to their essence and featuring an all-POC company, will perform in late winter 2022.

Seattle Shakespeare Cancels Remaining Plays for 20-21 Season

Today Seattle Shakespeare Company announced that due to the ongoing public health crisis, it will cancel all its live productions planned for the theatre’s 30th Anniversary season.  The canceled productions of Volpone and Much Ado About Nothing join the previously announced cancelations of Richard II and Long Day’s Journey into Night.

Today Seattle Shakespeare Company announced that due to the ongoing public health crisis, it is postponing its productions of Richard II with upstart crow collective and Long Day's Journey into Night. The fall production of Volpone will move to spring 2021 to join a previously scheduled production of Much Ado About Nothing.

Seattle Shakespeare To Launch O, WONDER! An Interactive Shakespeare Adventure Game

With its summer Wooden O park productions canceled for 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Seattle Shakespeare Company is launching O, Wonder! a?" A Seattle Shakespeare Interactive Adventure on Thursday, July 9 at 8:00 a.m. The game will run through August 9 and will include raffle prizes and awards for participation.

Seattle Shakespeare Cancels Wooden O Shows For Summer 2020

Today Seattle Shakespeare Company's Artistic Director George Mount announced that the company is canceling the Wooden O shows for the summer of 2020. The theatre is also cancelling its May special presentation of Stephan Wolfert's Cry Havoc!
