After many weeks of rehearsals in the studio, the all-Canadian cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is now ensconced in the newly re-modelled CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre. Check out a video preview of the show here!

The new reimagined production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child opened last Thursday at Melbourne’s Princess Theatre.

The all-Canadian cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is now ensconced in the newly re-modelled CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre where they are in the midst of technical rehearsals in preparation for the show’s first performance on Tuesday May 31st. To mark that day, a special public celebration will be held at Yonge-Dundas Square from 12 noon – 2 pm.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in Melbourne has sold over one million tickets, breaking the record for most tickets sold of any stage play in Australia ahead of the reimagined, one-part production opening at Melbourne’s Princess Theatre in May.

Akram Khan Company will present the world premiere of Akram Khan’s new work, Jungle Book reimagined – a deeply personal interpretation based on the original story of Rudyard Kipling’s much-loved family classic – at Leicester’s Curve Theatre, 2 - 9 April 2022. A UK and international tour will follow, taking in cities including Birmingham and Edinburgh.

Producers of the Tony Award-winning Broadway production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child announced today that Steve Haggard is now playing the role of Harry Potter and Angela Reed rejoins the Broadway company on Tuesday, May 3rd in the role of Ginny Potter.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is written by Jack Thorne and based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany. The production at the Curran Theatre is directed by John Tiffany. 

Melbourne audiences will be introduced to both familiar and new faces in the reimagined production. Including many of the original cast, returning performers are Gareth Reeves as Harry Potter, Paula Arundell as Hermione Granger, Michael Whalley as Ron Weasley, Lucy Goleby as Ginny Potter, Ben Walter as Albus Potter, Nyx Calder as Scorpius Malfoy, Aisha Aidara as Rose Granger-Weasley/Young Hermione and Jessica Vickers as Delphi Diggory.

The Metropolitan Opera today announced its 2022–23 season, which features seven new productions, the most in ten seasons. Opening Night is September 27 with the company premiere of Cherubini’s Medea, starring soprano Sondra Radvanovsky in the title role alongside tenor Matthew Polenzani in David McVicar’s new staging, conducted by Carlo Rizzi.

A further extension to booking has been announced for the original two-part multi award-winning production at London's Palace Theatre to 26 February 2023. Tickets for the extended booking period are now exclusively on sale through Ticketmaster and with all Harry Potter and the Cursed Child's official trade and group booking partners.

Now, the show has been boldly restaged as one singular performance by the award-winning creative team for its return to North America.
