Following its successful run at HOME Manchester last November, ETT has announced further dates for the UK tour of Museum of Austerity.

The producers of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child have announced a further booking extension through to 2 March 2025 for the original two-part multi award-winning production at London's Palace Theatre.

The Tony and Olivier Award-winning Best Play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, has set a new Broadway record for weekly ticket sales for a non-musical play, reporting a gross of $2,718,487.50 for the week ending December 31, 2023.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’s Cara Ricketts (Hermoine) and Aaron Bartz (Draco Malfoy) were tasked with decorating Draco and Hermione biscuits for each other in under two minutes. Watch the video released by the production here to see how it went!

It would be interesting to see the show free from all the fancy listening gear so we can bask in the thrill of seeing Tennant and Jumbo grapple with their actions without a middleman. After all, isn’t part of the beauty of theatre that the audience isn’t separated from the story by a screen of any kind? The run is sold out (as it should be!) and they’re probably already in talks for a transfer (as they should!), but one wonders if this is actually what the future of drama is: a Shakespearean ASMR experience that will be dubbed as immersive. Fair is foul, and foul is fair.

The magic is hitting the road next year! The North American Tour of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will launch at the James M. Nederlander Theatre in Chicago in September 2024. Learn more about the tour here!
