The Royal Shakespeare Company's Matilda The Musical has confirmed an extension to the booking period to Sunday 28 May 2023 with tickets for the new dates now on sale.

On Monday 28th February at 11am, the Cambridge Theatre London, home of Matilda The Musical, will host World Book Day Live with Matilda and friends a special livestreamed event to celebrate World Book Day's 25th birthday. Long-term partners Roald Dahl Story Company, Royal Shakespeare Company and Puffin are working together to ensure children everywhere can join in the fun.

Polite Society features a cast led by and introducing Priya Kansara (Bridgerton, Half Bad), Ritu Arya (Red Notice, The Umbrella Academy), Shobu Kapoor (We are Lady Parts), Ella Bruccoleri (Call the Midwife), Seraphina Beh (Top Boy), Shona Babayemi, Nimra Bucha (Ms. Marvel), Jeff Mirza (We Are Lady Parts), and Akshay Khanna (Chloe).

Award-winning director Joe Wright envelops moviegoers in a symphony of emotions with music, romance, and beauty in Cyrano, re-imagining the timeless tale of a heartbreaking love triangle. The greatest love story ever told is in select cities January 28th and everywhere February 11th.

A new behind-the-scenes video from the 10th birthday press day was released, featuring interviews with Tim Minchin (music and lyrics), Dennis Kelly (writer), Catherine Mallyon (Executive Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company), Elliot Harper (Miss Trunchbull) and Landi Oshinowo (Mrs Phelps).

The Gotham Film & Media Institute announced today the nominations for the 31st Annual Gotham Awards, singling out 29 feature films, 16 series, and 32 performances for recognition in twelve award categories. 'Passing' and 'The Lost Daughter' led this year's nominations.

To celebrate the reopening of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Matilda The Musical last night at the Cambridge Theatre, the show has released a photograph from the curtain call as well as a new video which gives audiences an exclusive look behind-the-scenes at the preparations in the lead up to reopening the multi-award winning musical in the West End.

The film features Anya Taylor-Joy, Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie, Matt Smith, Terence Stamp, Diana Rigg, Rita Tushingham, Michael Ajao, and Synnøve Karlsen. 

Dinklage and Bennett are joined by Kelvin Harrison Jr., Bashir Salahuddin, and Ben Mendelsohn. The film features original music by The National's Aaron and Bryce Dressner and lyrics by Matt Berninger and Carin Besser.

The cast of the RSC's Matilda the Musical is preparing for a West End return at the Cambridge Theatre – and cameras were in place to mark their first day back in rehearsals! Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Matilda The Musical reopens on 16 September at the Cambridge Theatre in the West End.

In the video, Imogen Cole, Alyssa D’Souza, Alex Munden and Zoe Simon can be seen getting to grips with their gymnastic ribbon skills under the watchful eye of Elliot Harper (Miss Trunchbull).

The Royal Shakespeare Company's West End production of Matilda The Musical has announced that it will return to the Cambridge Theatre from 16 September 2021. Seen by more than 10 million people across more than 90 cities worldwide, this autumn marks 10 years since the multi-award-winning show opened in the West End.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage will lead MGM's Cyrano musical film adaptation, reprising a role he played off Broadway in 2019. Kelvin Harrison Jr. (The Photograph, Godfather of Harlem) has just joined the cast as Christian.

MGM has acquired Cyrano, a musical film adaptation. According to Deadline, Peter Dinklage will reprise title role that he played onstage at the Terris Theatre in 2018 and at the Daryl Roth Theatre in 2019.
