Over the last year, there have been things we've all missed. I especially miss taking my friend's now seven-year-old daughter to see a children's show. Through the Playhouse's Friday Funday program, she was introduced to theatre, so I was excited to take her to a production at Kate Goldman's Children's Theatre. The first one we attended was 'Ella Enchanted,' which was a magical evening. So I was excited to see that the Playhouse was bringing back the Kate Goldman Children's series this winter, with their first show 'Stuart Little, by Joseph Robinette, based on the book by E.B. White, opening this last Friday.

The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall's Education & Community Engagement Department has announced a FREE streaming of TheaterWorksUSA's Charlotte's Web from December 7-20. Based on the popular children's book, this performance was set to be the final Schooltime Performance of the 2019-2020 school year and was cancelled this past spring due to COVID-19.

Westport Country Playhouse's Family Festivities Series will present 'Charlotte's Web,' produced by TheaterWorksUSA, on Sunday, February 23, at 1 and 4 p.m. The show, based on the classic book by E. B. White, is written by Joseph Robinette, best known for the book for Broadway's 'A Christmas Story: The Musical.' Performances are approximately one-hour in length, and appropriate for grades K-5. Tickets are $20 each.
