In the short play Dress Blues, two young men, Christopher and Nicholas are partners in The Peak of Chic Boutique, a high-end clothing store on a fashionable street in Boston. A wealthy customer, Mrs. Simmons, wants to make a purchase, but her emotional distress makes things difficult. The middle-aged woman wants something that will make her look her absolute best, so that her husband won't be distracted by the pretty young things in his office.

The award-winning SkyPilot Theatre Company continues its ever-popular Runway series with a double bill of Judy Klass plays.

Kairos Italy Theater, the main Italian theater company in New York, has announced the finalists for the 2021 KIT International 10 minute plays series on Political Theater. The theme was chosen as KIT celebrated the famous Italian writer Leonardo Sciascia, on the occasion of Sciascia's 100th birthday.

On November 21st, 2020 at 7pm EST, the 1st performance of the 2020-2021 season of the Talking It Out virtual play festival will be held.

This fall will mark the first online performance of Talking It Out, a virtual theatre festival dedicated to promoting mental health awareness.

The 4th Annual International Stage It! 10-Minute Play Festival has announced the winners for this year's publication, now in it's fourth volume. The unique competition began with open submissions in October, garnering 346 plays from around the world, and a unique adjudication process. The top 25 plays have been selected for publication in Stage It! 4: 10-Minute Plays. The book is released in conjunction with the Festival weekend, March 20-22, where many of the plays will be produced.

TheatreWorks New Milford, a multi-award-willing 501(c)(3) not-for-profit theater in New Milford, CT,  has announced the twenty one plays which will compete for prizes at their First Annual 10 Minute Play Festival, entitled 'Tales from the Brookside.'

Emerging Artists Theatre celebrates their 25th season by presenting their bi annual New Work Series. The series opened on February 27 and runs through March 17 at TADA Theater in the Flatiron District. New musical, plays, solo-shows and dance pieces (in varies stages of development), will be presented.

There is something for everyone in this offering. As the event's title suggests, rather than a single fully produced multi-act production, audience members are served ten small plates, each one running about ten minutes by an ensemble cast of six that includes BSC returnees Peggy Pharr Wilson, Keri Safran, Robert Zukerman and welcomes Sarah Goeke, Michael Fell and Deshawn Mitchell. Directing credits are split equally between BSC Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and returning for his third year, Matthew Penn each responsible for five of the pieces.

The Dramatists Guild Fund presented their Madge Evans and Sidney Kingsley Award to actress Audra McDonald and playwright Craig Lucas just last night.
