TDF has announced that celebrated costume designer Fred Voelpel and legendary scenic designer Eugene Lee are among the 2022 TDF/Irene Sharaff Award recipients. Although Mr. Voelpel passed away in June, he will be honored posthumously with the TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design.

On Tuesday, September 13, nine record stores in New York City will celebrate the 22nd anniversary of the original 2000 film, Almost Famous, with an Almost Famous-inspired vinyl selection of records curated by Cameron Crowe, Academy Award-winning director, writer and co-lyricist of the new Broadway musical of the same title.

The box office for the new musical, Kimberly Akimbo, will open on Wednesday, September 7 at 10am at the Booth Theatre. The Booth Theatre box office will be open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm.

Funny Girl gets new funny ladies tonight! Lea Michele will star as 'Fanny Brice' and Tovah Feldshuh will star as 'Mrs. Brice,' alongside Tony & Olivier Award nominee Ramin Karimloo as 'Nick Arnstein'. The production will invite critics back to the show, but not for a few weeks, after the pair has had a “brief time to perform together.”

A new interlude of the song 'I’d Rather Be Blue Over You' that Barbra Streisand sings in the movie, will be added to the show.

Rehearsals have begun for Almost Famous, the new musical with book and lyrics by Academy Award® winner Cameron Crowe, based on his iconic film. Almost Famous will begin preview performances at the Bernard B. Beanie Feldstein is ending her run starring as Fanny Brice in Broadway's FUNNY GIRL today, July 31st. She is the production's first original cast member to depart. Standby Julie Benko will take over the role through September 4 and before the much anticipated performance of Lea Michele as Fanny Brice beginning September 6.

Funny Girl star Beanie Feldstein will miss this weekend's performances of the musical due to a case of tonsillitis.

THE MINUTES by Tony Award & Pulitzer Prize winner Tracy Letts, directed by Tony Award winner Anna D. Shapiro will conclude its limited Broadway engagement on Sunday, July 24. To date, the production has raised nearly $130,000 from a portion of tickets sales to support global humanitarian organization Save the Children’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund.
