Off-Broadway's Good Morning New York opened Saturday night at the Players Theatre.

Good Morning New York, written by Emmy® award-winning journalist Jacklyn Thrapp, explores the behind the scenes culture of local news – especially in NYC. It has all original songs about the Staten Island Ferry, The Plaza and even a six minute tap dance number in a diver bar.

Daniel Gold and Neville Braithwaite teamed up to create a video filled with numerous dancers of all different styles and backgrounds coming together to spark joy from the viewers while celebrating artists all over the community!

When former Secret Service agent turned bodyguard, Frank Farmer, is hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker, each expects to be in charge; what they don't expect is to fall in love. Leg Up On Life is holding its inaugural ART|Pact, benefiting Dancers Responding AIDS on April 1st, 2019 at [le] Poisson Rouge. Doors will open at 7PM. Showtime at 8PM. The evening will be hosted by Leg Up On Life founder, Daniel Gold (national tours of Miss Saigon and Beauty and the Beast).

On November 5th, NYC choreographers, come together to showcase their work and celebrate Think Tank's one year anniversary at Think Tank - The Showcase. The night explores different styles, collaboration, and live vocals, as we dance to commemorate Think Tank's first anniversary!

The fifth season of New York Theatre Barn's Choreography Lab continues on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 7pm at Pearl Studios. Funded in part by a generous gift from the Amber Foundation, The Choreography Lab was created to elevate and expand the use of dance in musical theatre. It is also the only curated choreography platform where choreographers and writers collaborate to develop movement for new musicals during incubation.

The United Palace of Cultural Arts is currently in preparations for the third annual Danza Highbridge Festival at Highbridge Pool in Washington Heights. On Saturday September 22nd at 5pm, members of the community are invited to join over eighty dancers, choreographers, and musicians in a drained, olympic-size wading pool for an afternoon dance showcase and celebration. This year's festival is free to attend and will feature a variety of dance styles, including Jazz, Modern, Contemporary Indian, Bachata, Theatre Dance, and more. Following the performance, spectators are invited to the dance floor to join in a Fiesta Latina, lead by Ximena Salgado from the Dance Project of Washington Heights. Festival organizers suggest bringing a towel, blanket, or beach chair to sit on during the performance.
