The Kentwood Players are set to present the murder mystery comedy CLUE, adapted from the screenplay by Jonathan Lynn, written by Sandy Rustin with additional material by Hunter Foster and Eric Price based on the Paramount Pictures Motion Picture, based on the Hasbro board game Clue. Directed by Daniel Kruger and produced by Alison Boole, Michele Selin and Brian Wells for Kentwood Players, with rights secured from Broadway Licensing. Featured in the cast (in alphabetical order) are Ben Billand, Nathan Gebhard, Michael Mullen, Aidan Petoyan, Anica Petrovic, Catherine Rahm, Jennifer Sanchez, Kaitlyn Schott, Sean Spencer, and Amanda Webb.
Created by Musical Theatre International as a fundraiser for theatres across the country, MTI's ALL TOGETHER NOW! is a musical revue featuring 15 songs from great Broadway shows including Rent, Beauty and the Beast, Once on this Island, Come From Away, Little Women, Newsies, Guys and Dolls, Godspell, Annie, Sister Act, Ragtime, Company and more.
Kentwood Players is proudly presenting MTI’s ALL TOGETHER NOW! as a Gala Red Carpet Fundraising event, directed by Susan Goldman Weisbarth, produced by Gail Bernardi, with musical consultant Mike Walker and choreography by Victoria Miller. Performances take place on Friday, November 12 at 8pm, Saturday, November 13 at 8pm, and Sunday, November 14 at 2pm. Audience members are invited to dress up, walk the red carpet, and have your photo taken on our outdoor front patio while you sip champagne. There will be lots of goodies and a few surprises too!
It's been quite a year and our new Board of Directors looks forward to an exciting 2021-22 Season with our continuing YouTube Channel programming including KP Live Interviews, Special Events and our Virtual Theater Series. And most importantly, the re-launch of our home theater, THE WESTCHESTER PLAYHOUSE, this Fall.
During the past year's pandemic shutdown, Kentwood Players has been working on very necessary upgrades to their home, the Westchester Playhouse, so that when the time is right to reopen it will be totally up-to-date and compliant with all necessary safety protocols to ensure the enjoyment of live indoor theatre again! Kentwood Players Virtual Theater Series Continues in 2021 with “Three Syllables of Shame,” “Surf’s Up,” “State of Independence” and “Happy and Gay.” Also seeking new Zoom-formatted plays and directors interested in helming future VTS plays, as well as graphic artists interested in submitting a new logo design!
Torrance Theatre Company is completing its first PLAY-AT-HOME series of online theatrical experiences, designed to entertain audiences during the stay-at-home orders. All productions are performed live onstage within the theater while observing all COVID-19 restrictions, and recorded for broadcast. The final three plays presented in December include Beyond Glory, Driving Miss Daisy, and A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play.
