Photo Flash: Bay Area Musicals Presents THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME

Bay Area Musicals (Matthew McCoy, Founder & Artistic Director, and AeJay Mitchell, Managing Director) has announced the full cast and creative team for the final production of the 2017-2018 season, THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME. Based on the Victor Hugo novel and songs from the Disney animated feature, THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME showcases the film's Academy Award-nominated score, as well as new songs by Tony and Academy Award-winners Alan Menken (LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, THE LITTLE MERMAID, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, ALADDIN, POCAHONTAS) and Stephen Schwartz (GODSPELL, PIPPIN, WICKED, POCAHONTAS). Peter Parnell's new book embraces story theatre and features verbatim passages from Hugo's gothic novel.

Danbury's Musicals At Richter Kicks Off 34th Season Under The Stars With LEGALLY BLONDE

Musicals at Richter (MAR), celebrating its 34th season as the longest-running outdoor theater in Connecticut, kicks off the summer with 'Legally Blonde,' the effervescent and wildly upbeat musical based on the popular 2001 film comedy starring Reese Witherspoon. Staged on the grounds of the Richter Arts Center in Danbury, performances take place outdoors under the stars Today through Sunday evenings at 8:00 p.m., with additional specially discounted performances on Thursday, July 5 and 12. There is no show today, July 13.

Christina Milian, Leona Lewis and Zulay Henao Join Season Two of Sony Crackle Original Drama Series THE OATH

Sony Crackle announced today that Grammy-nominated artists Christina Milian and Leona Lewis and actress Zulay Henao ('Meet the Blacks 2') will join the cast of season two of its original drama series 'The Oath,' from executive producer Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson and his G-Unit Film and Television Inc. and creator/executive producer Joe Halpin. Additionally, actor and director Kevin Connolly will guest star and direct multiple episodes for the gritty drama series. Production for season two of 'The Oath' has commenced in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Peter Pan is possibly one of the most commonly adapted and re-adapted works for the stage. From Peter and the Starcatcher to Finding Neverland and everything in between, there are constant tweaks and updates to this classic that make it resonate with new generations. Adventure Theatre's newest adaption, Tinker Bell, is a good family-friendly adaptation and is worth visiting just for the sheer fun. Patrick Flynn's script, however, runs out of pixie dust before the work can reveal anything about the story that hasn't already been heard.

CineFestival Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Utah Film Center announced today the films selected for the 15th annual Damn These Heels Film Festival and new elements to the festival for film lovers, filmmakers and all storytellers. Damn These Heels will run July 20 - 22, 2018 at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center and is a festival for all that explores LGBTQ issues, ideas, and art through independent, documentary, and foreign films from around the world. Passes and tickets are now on sale on the Utah Film Center's website. Additional titles will be announced on the website leading up to the Festival.

Into the Valley festival 2018 will take place next 28th to 30th September in Andalusia, Spain, with the amazing and ancient Castle of Sohail in the town of Fuengirola as main location. The ITV concept has been evolving through the years, and after last year's experience, we decided we needed a fresh start. This comes in the shape of a move, from the cold and rainy North to the sun at the very southernmost end of Europe. Corkscrew Theater Festival presents Pie Shop Play, written by Alice Pencavel and directed by Sivan Battat. Running July 20-29, Pie Shop Play concerns two sisters whose big dreams are derailed when the pipes in their pie shop burst, leaking toxic unknowns that rob them of coherent speech. As the shop slowly floods, buried trauma, and secrets pour forth as well, forcing the sisters to work it out (through garbled English) before they drown. Performed by Devin Kessler, Futaba Shioda*, Kaylee Simonson, Eliza Simpson*, and Madame Vivien V, Pie Shop Play is the third production in the second annual season of Corkscrew Theater Festival, a new summer theater festival that provides early-career artists with a high level of production support.

PEDRO PAN Soars at New York Musical Festival Starting July 10th
