BACK TO OZ is an exhilarating trip through history and down the Yellow Brick Road

BroadwayWorld talks with WICKED alumn Carmen Cusack, who will headline BACK TO OZ: From The Wonderful Wizard to The Wiz to Wicked at the Mark Taper Forum April 18–26.

MUSE/IQUE will present BACK TO OZ, tracing Oz from the 1939 MGM film to THE WIZ to WICKED, at the Mark Taper Forum in April 2026, led by Artistic Director Rachael Worby.

Theatre Raleigh is a professional nonprofit theater company recognized for its high-caliber musicals, dramas, and concert series featuring exceptional talent.

Bright Star is a Bluegrass/Folk musical written and composed by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell. Its tale is set in the vast landscape of North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains between the years 1945-46, and features flashbacks to the year 1923. The pair produced a Grammy-winning album in 2013 entitled Love Has Come For You, in which the musical is inspired by its lyric-scape and the true story of the Iron Mountain Baby.

The four-time extended Off-Broadway play Pen Pals welcomes Disney Legend Jodi Benson and Tony Nominee Marcia Mitzman Gaven. Check out photos of them in the show here!

Carmen Cusack and Gina Torres are now starring in the Off-Broadway hit Pen Pals, as Bernie and Mags, at the DR2 Theatre. They continue through March 1. Check out photos here!

Randy Graff and Beth Leavel will star as Bernie and Mags in Pen Pals Off-Broadway, playing at the DR2 Theatre. Pen Pals is inspired by a true story and charts five decades of friendship through handwritten letters.

The producers of the four-time extended Off-Broadway hit Pen Pals will welcome back  Sharon Lawrence and Maureen McCormack in an encore performance as Bernie and Mags through January 18  at the DR2 Theatre.

Brooke Adams and Marilu Henner will star as Bernie and Mags in Pen Pals Off-Broadway at the DR2 Theatre, joining the rotating roster of women starring in the production.

Pen Pals will present its fourth and final extension, along with an expanded roster of performers. The Off-Broadway play will now continue its run at the DR2 Theatre.
