SYFY announces the pickup of two new co-productions - the 10-episode THE SURREALTOR, produced by Blue Ice Pictures, and DAY OF THE DEAD, a 10-episode series based on George A. Romero's classic film and produced by Cartel Entertainment. Both are expected to air on SYFY in 2021.

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah writer and stand-up comedian Josh Johnson is set to commence production on his first one-hour stand-up special and will be returning to the city where he started his comedy career: Chicago. Trevor Noah Presents: Josh Johnson will be taping at The Laugh Factory (3175 N. Broadway) at 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, April 4. The special is set to premiere in 2020 on Comedy Central.

In all, the 24-hour live stream will feature a curated playlist of over 60 half-hour stand-up specials beginning Thursday, October 17 at 11:00 p.m. ET on the Comedy Central Stand-Up channel on YouTube and culminating with the on-air premiere of the new season of Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents… with back-to-back episodes, Jaboukie Young-White and Vanessa Gonzalez, on Friday, October 18 at 11:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.

Deadline reports that all the leading actors have been sets for Eko's upcoming series Scroll Wheel of Time. The series is the first that has been ordered under a partnership between Eko and creative studio Bullitt.

Netflix announced today that Grace and Frankie has been renewed for a seventh and final season. With this final 16-episode order, Grace and Frankie, produced by Skydance Television, will make history as the longest-running Netflix original series ever, out of both comedy and drama, with 94 episodes.

Each episode will feature an interview with one of Anthony's friends – who happen to be some of the best comedians in the business – as they discuss all things comedy.
