NOW That's What I Call Music!, the world's best-selling multi-artist album series, has announced that they are set to release their first ever NOW That's What I Call Broadway! on Friday, April 29, 2016. The album will feature 18 music tracks from the original cast recordings of some of the Great White Way's most legendary shows. The album features liner notes by David Cote, theater editor for Time Out New York as well as a playwright and librettist/lyricist.

 MATILDA just celebrated its 1000th performance with who else, but creator Tim Minchin, for a special conversation at New World Stages. At the special event, Jessica Shaw of EW moderated a Q&A and Minchin performed a few Matilda tunes at the piano. BroadwayWorld was there for the special night and you can check out photos below!

Bailey Ryon, Tony Award winner for her role as MATILDA on Broadway, along with a top talent agent from Frontier Booking International (FBI), taught a four-hour musical theatre workshop at A Class Act NY, Manhattan's award-winning acting studio for kids and teens on Saturday, June 27. Tony Award Winner and Grammy Award Nominee Milly Shapiro (Matilda The Musical) and triple threat sister Abigail Shapiro (The Grinch Who Stole Christmas) will be taking the stage at 54 Below on Monday, June 9th in "The Shapiro Sisters: Live Out Loud". This will be their third performance at 54 Below following Abigail's run as Cindy Lou Who in the regional production of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas and Milly's tenure originating the role of Matilda for the original Broadway production of Matilda the Musical at the Shubert Theatre.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW)'s 2014 Spring Gala honored Tony Award-winning director Des McAnuff and President of The Dodgers Michael David on Monday night, May 12, at The Grand Ballroom of The Plaza Hotel. Both are founding partners of Dodger Properties, which is responsible for over 150 productions of some of the most successful theatre on Broadway (56 Tony Awards), Off-Broadway and internationally. The Cinderella Ball is the 2014 Gala Benefit Concert for the non-profit organization the Gettysburg Community Theatre.
