 The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues will return on Tuesday, October 26th, with an all new series of unforgettable performances. Thirteen actors have been paired with writers who have crafted unique pieces especially for them. From 6 PM until 10 PM, new monologues will be published every 15 minutes.

New York City Center today announced the first set of casting for the 2022 Encores! season and the Spring Gala | Encores! Into the Woods on the opening night of the production, May 4. As BroadwayWorld reported last week, DC's Signature Theatre will present the pre-Broadway engagement of KPOP, The Broadway Musical, running December 2021 - January 2022.

The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals, now in their tenth year, kicks off their rigorous professional experience for artists 25 and under tonight with their own production of The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues, featuring the 43 program participants and 12 guest writers from previous years of the Nationals program.

The newly established partnership with the musical theatre training program, Bryant Park Corporation and BroadwayEvolved, will give students the opportunity to train and rehearse on the iconic stage that has hosted Broadway performances, dancers, musicians, movies and the very faculty that will be training them.

With the pandemic last year shutting down Broadway and other live shows, fiction podcasts such as Motherhacker and Red Frontier provided opportunities for Broadway actors to continue performing and entertaining audiences, via an alternative medium. 

Adele Lim makes her feature directorial debut on the project, which follows four Asian American women as they travel through Asia in search of one of their birth mothers.

The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues will premiere on Tuesday, June 29th, with an all new series of unforgettable performances.
