Launching as 2022’s #1 scripted debut, the series premiere of FOX’s all-new drama MONARCH has reached more than 10 million viewers across four linear telecasts (Sunday, Sept. 11; Monday, the 19th; and Wednesday, Sept. 14th) and digital platforms, with a total view time surpassing 500 million minutes.

Known for his work in musicals like Hedwig and the Angry Inch and The Lion King, Kevin Cahoon is taking his talents to the small screen as Earl Clark in Monarch on FOX. BroadwayWorld caught up with Cahoon to discuss his character, working with Susan Sarandon and Faith Prince on the new series, what to expect from the series, and more.

Grammy Award winner Shania Twain, multi-Grammy Award nominee Martina McBride, Grammy Award winners Little Big Town and Grammy Award winner Tanya Tucker are set to guest-star throughout the first season of Monarch. The cast also includes Susan Sarandon, Trace Adkins, Anna Friel, Faith Prince, Kevin Cahoon, and more.

The all-star event, dubbed “Country Music industry’s favorite night,” will recognize several special honorees, including ACM Triple Crown Award recipient Miranda Lambert, ACM Spirit Award recipient Chris Stapleton, ACM Poet’s Award recipient Shania Twain, ACM Milestone Award recipient Morgan Wallen and ACM Film Award recipient “Yellowstone.”

Returning FOX series include 9-1-1: LONE STAR (Season Four) and THE CLEANING LADY (Season Two); comedies CALL ME KAT (Season Three) and WELCOME TO FLATCH (Season Two); THE SIMPSONS (Season 34), FAMILY GUY (Season 20), BOB’S BURGERS (Season 13), THE GREAT NORTH (Season Three) and HOUSEBROKEN (Season Two); and THE MASKED SINGER (Season Eight).

In Monarch, reigning King of Country Music Albie Roman (Adkins), along with his insanely talented, but tough as nails wife, Queen of Country Music Dottie Cantrell Roman (Sarandon), have created a country music dynasty.
