Born in the wrong era, baby-faced Nicky Wood is making his mark while modeling his work after the eternal teenager himself, Dick Clark. This New Year's weekend Wood is putting his two 'day jobs' on the back burner to raise funds for his childhood theatre by paying tribute to his hero, Clark.

I hold each theatre to its own sliding scale of standards. As far as fare goes in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Broadway tours should be in the top echelon. However, on opening night December 18th at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in the auspicious Winspear Opera House, the touring troupe of Chicago failed to find its legs.

The Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical Chicago has announced that Academy Award winner and Emmy nominee Cuba Gooding Jr. will return to Broadway as the smooth-talking lawyer "Billy Flynn," beginning Monday, January 7, 2019 through Sunday, February 10, 2019 (five weeks only) at Broadway's Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th Street).

As the red-jacket usher guided us to our seats before the opening curtain of 'Chicago' at the Connor Palace she said, 'I love musical theater, especially if the show has a Fosse influence.'

Caroline Flack will star as Roxie Hart in CHICAGO from 10 December 2018 until the end of the show's run at the Phoenix Theatre on 5 January 2019.

FX today announced the additional cast that will appear in Fosse/Verdon, an eight episode limited series from award-winning producers Thomas Kail, Steven Levenson, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Joel Fields. Production on the series, now officially titled Fosse/Verdon, is currently underway in New York City ahead of its premiere on FX in Spring 2019.

Alessandra Corona presents her Performing Works in the premieres of two dance/theater works by choreographers Manuel Vignoulle, originally from Paris, and Guido Tuveri who, like Ms. Corona, is a native of Cagliari Italy.   

Star of RuPaul's Drag Race, American Idol and YouTube sensation Todrick Hall will star as Billy Flynn in CHICAGO from 19 November 2018 until the end of the show's run at the Phoenix Theatre on 5 January 2019.

Alberta Bair Theater's Broadway Series presented by U.S. Bank kicks off with the razzle-dazzle smash hit CHICAGO on Saturday, November 10 at 7:30 p.m.  and a matinee performance on Sunday November 11 at 2 p.m.

Signature Theatre has partnered with The Shen Family Foundation to create the SigWorks: Signature Theatre/Yale Composer Partnership, a new and unique program for young musical theatre writers.  Each year the new program will award one senior from Yale University's Shen Curriculum for Musical Theater a 3-week workshop to develop their own musical upon graduation together with a Shen Artist Internship for the Signature Theatre season. As a Shen Artist the award recipient will work alongside Signature's artistic team in the preparation for a world premiere production on Signature's mainstage season. In addition, one recent graduate (within the past five years) of Yale University and a participant in the Shen Curriculum for Musical Theater will be awarded a 2-week workshop of a musical they are currently writing.

The razzle dazzle of the late 1920s is captivating audiences telling the story of Roxie Hart, housewife and nightclub dancer, who maliciously murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she tricks the public, the media, and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago's slickest criminal lawyer, Billy Flynn, to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines. The show has been running on Broadway for over 20 years and here are ten reasons why you should see Chicago before it leaves Detroit!

Due to popular demand, Alexandra Burke and Duncan James will extend their runs in CHICAGO at the Phoenix Theatre. Alexandra Burke will play Roxie Hart until 10 November 2018 and Duncan James will play Billy Flynn until 17 November 2018. Laura Tyrer will play Velma Kelly until 20 October followed by Josefina Gabrielle who returns to the role of Velma Kelly from 22 October - 5 January 2019.

The Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical Chicago will welcome YouTube sensation and Broadway star Todrick Hall in the role of "Billy Flynn" for one week only, October 16-21 at Detroit's Fisher Theatre.

Laura Tyrer will join the West End cast of CHICAGO at the Phoenix Theatre, playing the role of Velma Kelly from Monday 24 September through to Saturday 6 October 2018. Laura joins Alexandra Burke as Roxie Hart, Duncan James as Billy Flynn, Mazz Murray as Mama Morton and Paul Rider as Amos Hart.
