Prospect Theater Company's annual Spring Gala honored four extraordinary members of the Prospect and musical theater community with the first annual Muse Awards: Lia Chang, Naima Kradjian, Leonard Majzlin, and Grammy Award nominee and Drama Desk Award winner Kenita Miller.

It's all happening! The new musical Almost Famous will arrive on Broadway later this year, according to the show's official website. An exact timeline has not yet been announced.

Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley announced today that their Stars in the House series will host a 10-hour telethon to raise money and awareness for those affected by the ongoing war in Ukraine. Donations of the event will benefit the International Rescue Committee and their humanitarian efforts for those affected by the war in Ukraine.

CHICKEN & BISCUITS, the new comedy written by Douglas Lyons and directed by Zhailon Levingston, made its Broadway debut just last night, October 10, at the Circle in the Square Theatre (235 West 50th Street.) The limited engagement runs through Sunday, January 2, 2022.

New York City Children’s Theater will expand its programming during its 25th Anniversary season in 2021-22 with a livestream MEET THE PARENTS series hosted by Broadway actress (and mom) ANIKA LARSEN. Legendary composer/arranger Tom Kitt (Next to Normal, Jagged Little Pill) has teamed up with TodayTix at Tavern to celebrate the release of his debut studio album, Reflect. The 2-time Tony Award winner will sit down at the piano while special guests perform songs from the album, along with iconic numbers from some of Tom’s most well-known musicals.

Larsen and Maxwell are Distinguished Artists in Residence at The Studios, one of the premiere multidisciplinary arts & culture organizations in South Florida and the Florida Keys. They were invited by opera librettist & theater writer Stephen Kitsakos, Studios Artistic Associate & Executive Producer of the weekly livestream series Between Two Palms, to perform on The Studios new outdoor rooftop garden, Hugh's View.

Last month, Anika Larsen and Sammy Lopez collaborated with New York City Children's Theater to create a special recorded 'front porch' performance of the song 'Count on Me' by Bruno Mars for Kaleidoscope 2021 - a filmed celebration of their work.
