This Sunday, September 11, the cast of the New York Musical Theatre Festival production of FEELING ELECTRIC will offer a free public performance of select musical numbers at the Virgin Megastore -- Union Square at 1:30 p.m.
The New York Musical Theatre Festival and Reno Productions proudly present FEELING ELECTRIC as one of the featured productions of the 2005 New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF). Directed by Peter Askin (The Good Body, Trumbo), performances begin on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at Off-Broadway's Barrow Group Theatre (312 West 36th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).
The Winter Season, a series of 7pm Monday night concerts at BIRDLAND featuring top Broadway and cabaret performers, continues with composer/lyricists Amanda Green & Tom Kitt, who will be performing their original songs January 24th and 31st at 7pm. The duo will be joined by special guest stars Brooks Ashmanskas, Mario Cantone, Jenn Colella, Gavin Creel, Jerry Dixon, Matt McGrath, Julia Murney, Greg Naughton, Alice Ripley, Amy Spanger and the Tom Kitt Band. The writing team is currently adapting the popular book and film High Fidelity for the Broadway stage as a musical, and will premiere several songs from the musical during the concert.
Appearing on July 12th at 8pm along with Tom Kitt will be singer/songwriter Amanda Green, and a cast of Broadway regulars, including Mario Cantone, Jenn Colella, Nancy Opel, Alice Ripley, Amy Spanger, Greg Naughton, Jonathan Dokuchitz, Matt McGrath and others presenting a sneak peak at songs from their upcoming musical - HIGH FIDELITY, and lots more.
