A performance of Classic Stage Company's The Baker’s Wife will be recorded by the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts for the Theatre on Film and Tape Archive.

The Baker’s Wife, starring Scott Bakula and Ariana DeBose, is now playing at CSC’s Lynn F. Angelson Theater for an extended engagement through December 21. Watch highlights of the cast in action in this video.

Classic Stage Company has announced full casting for Stephen Schwartz and Joseph Stein’s The Baker’s Wife, starring Ariana DeBose and Scott Bakula. Directed by Gordon Greenberg, the musical will open CSC’s 2025–26 season, running October 23–December 14, 2025, at the Lynn F. Angelson Theater.

The Old Globe has just announced the full cast and creative team for William Shakespeare’s All’s Well That Ends Well. Two-time Obie Award-winner Peter Francis James (Public Theater’s Stuff Happens, Classic Stage Company’s The Maids, Broadway’s The Merchant of Venice with Al Pacino, Broadway’s Present Laughter with Kevin Kline) directs a cast of 22.

Charles Kirsch’s latest Backstage Babble was a fun resurrection of songs from mostly flop shows that quickly failed on Broadway or out of town. The theme was inspired by Joe Allen's “flop wall” of posters from shows that closed in the first week.
